As I asked in my topic, what are the oldest songs in the AnCo discography that have been played? I know AnCo did a modified version of Chocolate Girl back in 2008, but it seems like they started touring with Danse Manatee stuff when they were still a relatively new underground band.

There are no live recordings or set lists, but I recall Avey talking about their first couple of shows in late 2000 being Spirit shows with only himself and Panda Bear. There was a guy on the previous CA who said he saw a lot of these early shows. I believe he was the one who gave us the 2002 Tonic recording

Also I think Dave has talked about playing Penny Dreadfuls (he wrote it at 16) with some of his bandmates while they were still in high school

I think you're right, otherwise they probably would have included some of those recordings on the Crack Box

I remember reading somewhere that they had a box full of tapes and stuff stolen out of one of their cars.
