animal collective playlists

I don't know if there is a thread like this already?
anyway, I tried to do a kind of upbeat and poppy playlist to my girlfriend who isn't that into ac. I only included songs from their "poppy period" because it would be too difficult otherwise, and I also think that she will enjoy this more.
1. floridada
2. in the flowers
3. cobwebs
4. grass
5. fuckle cycle
6. chores
7. brother sport
8. graze
9. what would I want? sky
10. the purple bottle
11. college
I tried to make it under an hour so there's a lot of songs that I had to left out. I think it's pretty good!
post your playlist/alternative track orders etc, etc.

to OP, if i were making an 'accessible' AC playlist for someone, id swap graze with summertime clothes, swap chores with fireworks, and swap cobwebs with water curses.
maybe some solo stuff could fit in as well.
lucky 1
little fang
surfers hymn
jabberwocky

I like to listen to Person Pitch for running but swap I'm Not and Good Girl/Carrots like the vinyl tracklist. it works well because it's like 35 min of upbeat songs and then 10 min of slow songs for cooldown/stretching
strangely I've never really made any AC playlists but this thread has me wanting to make some

if i'm feeling more adventurous i put it on shuffle lol.

That's a very solid retrospective, nice to see Pride and Fight in there. I'd probably swap out Purple Bottle for Banshee Beat but otherwise I'd say that's a nice snapshot of each era

i'm trying to get my most favorited ac and related songs onto a blank cassette for the car. i've got 90 minutes to work with. i'm at 190 minutes now and i've removed a bunch of songs already.
so far (not in any order):
i'm probably just gonna have to make 2 tapes.

the tapes! i have made it thus far. i don't know what i'd put on tape 2, side B. maybe i'll just leave it at 135 minutes. but what to put on the extra side?
each are edited/crossfaded for uninterrupted enjoyment, 45 minutes each
these are mostly favorites? not necessarily the best of the best, its more more about the flow/experience.
side A, waste infant:
wastered
jane - agg report
visiting friends
infant dressing table
kindle song
avey tare - crumbling land
side B, prospect routine
doggy
native belle
forest gospel
on a plain
prospect hummer
kids on holiday
terrestrial tones - the sailor
panda bear - daily routine (the o.g. from ma fama `07)
tantrum barb
whaddit i done?
grass
tape 2, side A, reverend game
mr. fingers
brothersport
for reverend green
chores
what would i want? sky
mountain game
loch raven
deakin - good house
side D...eez nuts?
off the top o my heads...
panda bear - young prayer tr 1
sponge luke
a manatee dance
panda - i'm not (i don't know, i gobbled those singles up. by the time the album came out i was already sick of hearing them. i'm still burnt out on them to be honest.)
lady on the lake
flesh canoe
daffy duck
safer??

This reminds me of a funny story for some reason.
I was at this camp thingy where I was in a cabin with a few other folks I didn't know too well, and the dude sleeping in the bed next to mine was sawing MAJOR logs and I absolutely cannot sleep when someone else is snoring loudly. So after laying there for about 30 mins and getting peeved I put my headphones on and put "Visiting Friends" on repeat loud enough to block out the noise. It worked eventually and when I woke up I think it had played about 25 times over. Which isn't a lot but it is for a 12.5 minute song. So now that's my go-to song to help me fall asleep.
I also had to do it again the next night so that was fun!
Also reading the story again its really not that funny but it is what it is

My dead head friend(went to dead shows multiple times in the late 80s/early 90s) asked me to get him into AnCo, He knows how much I love them and go to live shows, so he asked for a playlist to "tune him in" haha. But I am struggling to figure out how to introduce him. I know What would I want Sky has to be at the top of the list, but its hard to figure out if I should show him album material then ease him into live stuff or just have him jump head first into live stuff.
Last night I was mowing(lying in) the grass and listened to MPP and Painters EP and felt like I should just buy him MPP, Fall Be Kind and Painters EP and then if he still digs it get him Water Curses, Strawberry Jam and some live shows from post strawberry, pre-mpp era. He works a lot and has two kids and somehow still has made it to 3 dead and co shows this year so I bet he could appreciate it if introduced in the right way. What do you guys think?

Made this one. Was trying to create a chronology based on what was available on Spotify, with a solid flow that highlighted different key components of AC's music and how it's evolved throughout the years. Think I got the order of releases right but can't quite remember what came out when.
1. Spirit They've Vanished - AC
2. Bad Crumbs - AC
3. Forest Gospel - AC
4. Too Soon - AC
5. Crumbling Land - Avey Tare
6. Untitled 2 - Panda Bear
7. De Soto De Son - AC
8. Kids On Holiday - AC
9. Baby Day - AC
10. Prospect Hummer - AC
11. Loch Raven - AC
12. Slipping Away - Jane
13. The Sailor - Terrestrial Tones
14. Good Girl/Carrots - Panda Bear
15. Oi Sori Bujie (Animal Collective Remix) - Kocani Orkestar*
16. Fireworks - AC
17. Street Flash - AC
18. was ónaíp - Avey Tare & Kria Brekkan
19. No More Runnin - AC
20. Love Like A Sunset (Deakin Remix) - Pheonix*
21. Bleed - AC
22. Ghost Of Books - Avey Tare
23. Tameyawt (Deakin Remix) - Tinariwen*
24. Mountain Game - AC**
25. Stick To My Side - Pantha Du Prince*
26. Alsatian Darn - Panda Bear
27. Things Fall Apart - Zomby*
28. Animal Collective Version of "Welt Am Draht" - Pantha Du Prince*
29. Tranverse Temporal Gyrus Pt 1 - AC
30. Honeycomb - AC
31. Pyjama (Featuring Panda Bear) - Teengirl Fantasy*
32. Doin' It Right (Featuring Panda Bear) - Daft Punk*
33. That It Won't Grow - Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks
34. Boys Latin - Panda Bear
35. Cheap Treat (Panda Bear Version) - Eric Copeland
36. On Delay - AC
37. Just Am - Deakin
38. Man Of Oil - AC
*EDIT: Included a bunch more remixes and collaborations that feature either Panda Bear or Deakin singing lead vocals.
** Put Mountain Game in the slot since it was recorded in 2010, and was trying to keep the chronology of the music more or less in order. I'm sure there's some fuzziness within year long timeframes, but generally this playlist should be chronologically in order.
Also decided that Honeycomb represented the song writing era that was Centipede HZ, so didn't feel a need to include any of the CHZ tunes. Same with On Delay representing the PW and Painters era.
Here's the spotify link if any of y'all want it!

I really like the concept of this one. I might borrow the idea and make a slightly more accessible version for a mate, and play it in reverse order. A kind of journey into the core.

Collective and Company
Themed playlist seemed fun. Songs with AC and a non-core member. Wish I could've included every song that qualifies but had to cut some.

2. Rosie Oh (Dave Scher on Melodica)
3. Floridada (Colin Stetson on Saxophone)
4. New Town Burnout (Dave Scher on pedal steel)
5. Bleed (Heather McIntosh on Cello)
6. People (Eyvind Kang on Violin)
7. Prospect Hummer (Vashti Bunyan on vocals)
8. Bees (Eyvind Kang on Violin)
9. Gotham (Dave Scher on Pedal Steel)
10. Peacemaker (Niki Randa on Vocals)
11. Hocus Pocus (Feat. John Cale)
12. Father Time (Feat. Riverside Middle School Choir)
13. Fickle Cycle (Kristin Brekkan on Piano/Eyvind Kang)
14. Amazonawana/Anaconda Opportunity
15. Today's Supernatural (Dave Scher on Pedal Steel)
16. Kinda Bonkers (Jeremy Hyman on Drums)

Yup they're in the official personnel credits. It's hard to hear that stuff a lot of the times because their parts might be mixed lower and there's so many layers. Same with Eyvind on Feels. You can def hear the cello at the beginning of Bleed tho
With stuff like that cello in Bleed I also always wondered if it was all played live or if they just sampled it since it does sound like a loop
