What are the chances of a 2015 Animal Collective tour with new music? Here's what we know (off the top of my head so please pardon/correct any errors)

1. Deak/geo mentioned that they would get back together this year after a DJ set
2. Besides maybe avey w/ slashed flicks, everyone is coming off of a different project
3. Looking at the Pygmalion 2015 lineup, there are some AC related artists playing (Zola Jesus.) Panda had a hugely successful show at the fest last year. Also, the headliner is currently a ???.
What other evidence is there?

Panda has confirmed they are all working on new music. But what do you mean coming off projects? Deak and Geo have seemingly just been chillin.

i think panda will want a nice long break before touring again
it seems like he's been on tour for well over a year

i think fall 2016 would be a more accurate prediction

A wintertour would be so cool. But one could dream ...

I really hope they will at least drop a small EP of some kind...kinda like the Honey Comb before Chz ...but yeah a feel like if they are going to drop a tour in the fall the latest they would announce it would be July/aug .. and if they are recording in NO, its probably not going to have a winter theme to it, therefore I doubt an album will drop this fall/winter ...but when they do drop a tour ....im making sure i have enough money saved up to see them in a few different states .....mainly midwest IL,WI,MO

I agree with the pack in that they wont tour this fall, but when they tour eventually I'm hoping for a date in Iowa/Wisconsin/Minnesota.

Maybe they'll tour with PB as headliner

Late Spring 2016 is my bet for next tour

i don't expect anything soon but if/when it happens i pray they don't forget about the midwest

So, now that AC has claimed to be finished with their next record (via pitchfork last week,) has anyones opinion changed?

hoping for a winter tour, sometime december-february timeframe. think that's a best case scenario for touring, would be surprising for something before then. only exception being maybe a tiny rehearsal show at some point in la/baltimore/nyc.

Yeah for rehearsal show. Their shows at the ottobar are always dope
