Hey guys, long time no see. I've failed you as group leader as I still haven't completed my cover, but over the last couple of days I've been working and finally found an idea I can commit to and will be posting up my results soon. I understand everyone else here is busy living there own lives too but I hope everyone who promised there efforts will follow through and show the great people of the CA forums the fruits of their labour. I have extended the date till the first of next month and this will hopefully be enough time for everyone to get their work done. After that what's been submitted will be compiled and released, and whatever songs are left to be completed by the end of this month will have sweded versions made by yours truly to flesh out this project. (so please everyone group together and make sure that doesn't happen :3). If you guys can't make the date then let us know and someone else can takeover your work. If this date isn't going to work for enough people I can push the date back but I hope this will at least be completed by the end of the year.



Alright guys you know the drill. Pick a song, cover it however you please and submit within a reasonable timeframe.

The way that these fan comps go, it'll probably be at least a few months before it gets done

that's not a dig at anyone. just seems that often people get sidetracked with other stuff and forget to finish or submit covers, myself included

me and my old band half hour handshake did a live cover of essplode once. i wish i still had the audio recording of it, but it was lost when my old harddrive crashed i've still got a cool pic of it though:

[edit] started on it tonight, getting the bass and the granulized bell sounds sorted out. i've really got my work cut out for me on this one, i forgot how layered and complex meet the light child is and i just so happen to pick the longest song on the album.

I mentioned this idea in another thread but we could also split up the long songs among several people. Meet the Light Child has a few different sections so we could have a different person tackle each one of them, if it makes it less daunting. Just an idea
