It is already an incredible new year with PBVSGR and what sounds like new concerts and music on their way maybe in autumn!
So, I am converting my unused mixcloud page into a home for new CA Radio broadcasts!!
These can be any type of music and sound mixes... as long as there are at least two tracks or sections, it is able to go on mixcloud.
Your original music, remixes, spoken word and experiments are most welcome; traditional mixtapes are most welcome! officially released songs should be labeled; mixcloud is able to count the songs as being played on the radio.
It is really our own free and freeform radio station, which is quite weird and
wonderful! I am glad and honored to help start it existing again!! Happy Spring (or Autumn to Hash and others!)!!

here we go!
a few things have changed especially being that new music has already been released, which is very inspiring overall and directly for this project. : )
the only other thing is that my own account seems to have trouble uploading after the file size gets above 8.7 or so megs. This is good though;
I feel it will encourage there to be other pages to visit for long broadcasts;
this page will be for 8-10 minute broadcasts that can be played on their own and in any order for unique effect!
i have always done mine in the form of amateur mixes of the songs, but mixcloud and this project very much welcome the music in its original form too!
please feel free to submit mixes to me via PM... they can be as short as needed or i can split them for you, and, sprout any and all projects related to and tangential to this project!

Yes, that is what i am most excited about, the original CA radio had some archives but were lost in the previous board, that this time there will be a lot of music and collages and mixes from people here! it will take a long time to get going but i am hoping by autumn there will be a lot happening!

Sick mixing dude, really digging the jah/aisatsana mix!! Impressed and jealous - wish I was good enough with the remix game to followup on this.
Always experiment and have fun, i am an amateur and I am always still learning, i am really excited that someone enjoys how they turned out!! SpritBear worked on the previous CA radio broadcasts and did live mixes using a pedalboard that created amazing moods that inspired me. Jah Jah Rainbow Sign was mixed by... applying a phaser to the right channel, slowing down both channels by about 17% i think; moving the right channel out of alignment with the left to create the echo and, i think slowing down the left channel by about 1/2% for an additional distance effect : )

Aisatsana was mixed by adding a delay effect while the song was reversed and then turning it around, and, slightly changing the playing speed.
i have added a new short broadcast with a Boys Latin mix!
I do hope that another account that can upload longer files will be involved but for now i like the feeling of the small broadcasts that can be played in any order resembling a centipede!

Happy to be sharing in this new mix an old Stevie Wonder song that feels very much like a song by Avey, and, a song by Ghanaian artist Philipa Baafa that has some similar moods to PBVSGR songs and Cosplay... both are their own amazing three to four minute mini universes beyond the collective reference points as well!

beginning again for a new seasonal space and possibly beginning a gradual path to a new time for animal collective as well!
this one is fairly simple but both songs remind me when slowed down a bit of panda's most recent styles!

i am thankful to have a bit more time now to continue this project, especially to find other contributors! it has made sense for it to be slow at first

unpredictably good realities are on their way!

Same here. Any people from the original group of radio mix people? About 2 years ago?

Yes

I am hoping that, especially now that a new album is at least confirmed to exist still with a possible autumn tour as well, it can be something that occurs through chag in anticipation and celebration! i think that mixes could be shared in any ways possible, depending on what works for each person or any group mixes as we used to do!!
i think yesterday July 24 may have been the third anny of the original Panda Bear broadcast!! i didn't remember until now and the day may be different.

I'd be down to make a mix yo. Can I broadcast an hour-long improvised noise piece?

i've finally found a site/system (mixlr) that will work and it looks quite similar to what you and your roommate created for the original broadcasts!

i think so! whether it is prerecorded from an improv session or if it were being created at that moment it seems like mixlr can broadcast that too.

one more very small mix with Aphex twin / Terence McKenna together sounding a bit like the Down there interview; although not quite, also with some unique connections to PBVSGR!
and then a song to bring the best new luck and energy to the next phases of Collected Animals Radio!
I was waiting to see if there would be any more replies, and, have looked at mixlr and see that it is fairly simple and should work for a different format of sharing mixes and recordings.
