ideally this thread doesn't become some lame ranking/rating thread with no actual discussion, but whats everyones favourite animal collective related albums/tracks these days? ac are the kind of band where my favourite stuffs always changing so it could be a fun way to talk bout the boyz while we wait for more new stuff.
been having some really special moments with spirit they're gone lately. just started a new job where they let me listen to my ipod while i work and it really helps me get through the work day. such a beautiful album. la rapet is hitting specially hard.
also been loving gotham. what a fucking jam. that moment where pandas backing vox come in is just unreal.

Just saying I prefer "Allman Vibe" to Fireworks
I think Deakin's guitar part is much more prominent and panda's drumming is a little different, plus the old lyrics are much more....powerful

I've kinda given up on ranking my favorite AC albums/tracks because i'm into different albums more at different times, but right now i'm in a real Danse/Indian phase.

the problem is they want it to be listened to in one take since it was recorded that way and you can't do that on vinyl

I just realized that that's probably is why. It would still be awesome though!

People EP.
Great release date
great track list, very nice flow of atmosphere and energy and emotion, although the live version of people is great, I would have loved to see the Lexington KY people from '05(this would go really well after My Favorite Colors) or the Buffalo NY version from '05
My favorite colors is one of the greatest things they've done, to convey that level of sadness and gloom through ghost howls and car horns and ice cream shop piano keys (did Kria play on this?) and guitar plucks is incredible, the title screen version off the Grass DVD is beautiful and the reversed version from the credits section leaves me speachless
Perfect thing during a grey day in October.
Tikwid is going to stick with me until I die, don't even get me started on the early version

I'm just placed an order on the People 12"!
I'm so stoked about it!
I like People and Tikwid more than anything on Feels right now!
Definitely one of my favorites!

tomboy (the song) is an all-time AC favorite for me. it creates a tangible, frantic, black and white landscape in my head that is beautiful

It's hard to pick favorites now. I just pick whatever I'm in the mood for. I seriously love everything they've done.

I'm gonna name my next cat Tikwid, seriously I love that song so much, it is probably the most underrated song they've ever made.

i think the song i most frequently quote aloud is People live.
Whenever the world is being crazy or i get frustrated with life i just yell "PEOPLE!!!"
it helps a lot

My favorite EP is a tie between Fall Be Kind and Water Curses. FBK is a bit inconsistent for me because of On a Highway and Bleed but Graze and WWIW?S are just classic, whereas Water Curses is basically 4 great songs in a row even though nothing is really WWIW?S or Graze standard.

I like People and Water Curses best as far as EPs go.
FBK and Prospect Hummer are great, but People and Water curses really have a special place to me.

Yeah i really like the bbc session On a Highway (only heard it once though) but the studio version just hasn't done much for me oddly enough, should probably listen to FBK a bit more to get into it.
Anyway I think Bros is still my favourite song in general... from anyone.
