Happy New Years Oddsacs!! I'm so excited that the new years finally here! Most of us have heard that the guys are beginning to write new music together as a group, and thats very sweet! With that being said, a full album maybe wont be finished until late this year or maybe even the beginning of 2016..but i have fingers crossed for either an Avey Tare solo album (something he mention in an interview around march of '14) or an Animal Collective EP ( maybe even a Live EP) Anyone think that these are possibilities for us to look forward to as this year rolls on?

hopefully one more pbvsgr EP will drop sometime in the next couple months, with jabbaerwockqey and all that.... maybe the animal collectors will go on tour at the end of the year? resume their old trend of writing, taking the songs on tour and tweaking them as they perform them?

2015 will see the first AC song with Geo on lead vocals

Jk...but if you had told someone in 2008 that in 2012 AC would officially release a song with Deakin on lead vocals it'd probably seem just as ridiculous. Point being that 2015 will probably bring us something totally unexpected, which I would say is a good thing

That's exactly what I hope happens!!! I love and admire that they do that! (Touring and tweaking the songs as they go) For me, that's the first I've ever heard of a music group that does that, and just another Reason why I love these guys!

I see them writing new material and starting to play it live near the end of the year. I know it's a hefty bet, but I really think Deakin's gonna pull through and release something finally. And yeah Panda's probably going to put out a couple more singles or an EP since it seems like he wrote a bunch of material for this era. As for more abstract wishes, I'm hoping that Avey does release a compilation of the material he played live but never released a few years back, AC will release something like another Crackbox and if I'm really gonna be stretching it, Geo does like an EP's worth of original material on Record store day and someone digs up the musique concrete thing Avey and Geo did back in high school.

i predict Deakin won't release his solo album this year

1) I predict Deakin will never release anything

2) I predict AC will break up in 2015 and Dave will pursue a rap career. It's about time the discussion about the band stagnated so people will stop clogging my facebook notifications on a page they aren't supposed to be posting on.

I'm optimistic that maybe AC will do something they've never really done and just get together, write songs, and put something out by the end of 2015; they can tour next year.

That would be different, right?

Also, those PB-sides would be great.

avey finally tears off his skin and reveals himself to be a pigman

noah flees in terror

deakin expands slowly, and over the course of a few months is able to eat a small country

geologist releases a solo album every day of the year

speaking of collabs, when I first heard of panda bear meets the grim reaper I thought it was a collab album and kept trying to find an artist named grim reaper but couldn't find one. Also because of noah's comments about 90's hip hop I assumed grim reaper was an underground rapper I didn't know about. Thought it would be an actual boom bop rap album prod by noah with songs co-written by him and he would do hooks and maybe even a few verses. God dammit I was so hyped. Can you imagine?? That might have been the coolest album of all time

it's a horror movie where deakin lulls people to sleep with his soft guitar and then when they are dreaming they see these lights and they start following them and they start shaking really violently and then they die in their dream and their eyes open really wide but they never wake up.
