I'm not sure why this isn't the world's #1 amazing fact/tidbit, it is quite mystifying and really life-affirming.
It is a very deep, as well as free and always available psychedelic/mind-expanding-type experience too. (this may be why it is not taught in schools?

Everything that we experience as our surroundings is something that has already moved through our senses and then has been put back together by our minds! Anything we experience has its origins in "all the things that are outside" of us but to really be perceiving and experiencing it, our minds have recreated everything... even light, sound, anything and everything in nature... they are all out there in existence, yet, our minds are powerful enough to recreate them as much as possible.
I remember before i understood this it would feel like the edges of my body were still me but then the "real outside world" starts there. Now it feels quite more expansive, as long as I am paying attention to it! Our actual bodies continue all around us!!
When you reach out and grab something, you are reaching inside your head/mind and grabbing something that is in there too!
This phenomenon is of course why the Merriweather album artwork has the effect of being an optical illusion, because our mind is attempting to rebuild the picture! but... there was never anything directly expressed about the actual magnitude of this; just that it is there described playfully in Taste and maybe some other songs too.

Whenever we listen to music, live or recorded, it is that music, but our mind is also reforming every moment of it... in other words, it is being created again by our minds in order for us to hear it. Our minds are much more vast and dynamic than they are described to us, until we are able to figure it out.
