lol.

How many people actually listen to remixes like this of artists' songs? I've actually never listened to this just because I don't think there's been a single instance in my life where I've preferred a remix. I think one of the only times I've found one kind of interesting was one remix of "Climbing Up the Walls" or something but I probably haven't listened to it in like 15 years.

there are sooo many remixes that are good!! i feel like thats too big of an umbrella to cast. perhaps cuz in my mind, it includes mashups ? fourtet did a mashup of "it aint hard to tell" by nas and sleep by "godspeed you black emperor?"

i also like the kid cudi remix of "symphonies by danny black. yeah. 2009 shit.

Terrestrial Tones remix of Bros is probably my favorite, but they went full Goosebumps on us with this one

I think it would be cool if they let a song live as the remix, as in they give the stems to another artist and never release the song in any other form. Giving up authorship

Aphex Twin is famous for just submitting completely different songs as remixes. The most famous example is probably when he forgot that he agreed to do a remix of a NIN song for Further Down the Spiral, so he just submitted an industrial sounding song and said it was a remix of a Coil song.

Ehh I treat mashups as a separate thing from remixes
