Got my tickets for the last show of the tour in Vancouver. Very excited as I've never seen a Panda Bear show. Hyped that we'll have boots of the new stuff by December!

Wait I'm a lil confused. Why is it Toro y Moi with very Special Guest Panda Bear? Is it a split tour? I don't really have interest to see TyM...

there's a portion of the tour that looks like he's co-headlining with Toro

Agreed that most shows there are awful. Gonna give Noah the benefit of the doubt though, because every AC performance I've seen at T5 has sounded incredible. These guys know how to sound check.

making plans to head out to the portland show, beyond excited to see him + the west coast. haven't caught a solo show of his since cinci on the pre-PBVSGR tour line and i've kicked myself in the ass for never catching a buoys show.
maria reis being a part of the live band is incredible. i don't know how likely it is but it seems like such a ripe opportunity to play something from A Flor da Urtiga alongside the SG material. hearing Olivia as an encore piece would make my life, that song's so incredible.

I'm probably going to both SF shows... I imagine it'll be mostly the same set, but that doesn't bother me

I got tickets for the second SF show. I was holding out for a late LA announcement but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards

The instragram clips sound crazy, I feel like this is the most exciting AC-related band in ages. Cannot understand the co-headline thing here at all

They sound great. And the new songs are catchy as hell. Just soundtracked school drop off with this
this is my first real demoitis besides defeat. He ruined (for lack of a better word) religious bop/just as well. It's cool and fits within context and sounds great live with really talented musicians, but it's so much less chill man
This is great ty. Love Preakness. Love that this is doing a full band take on solo material in a Skiffsy way. This feels a lil.more garage than Skiffa jam band flavor but yeah it's a weird thing with this band where a more trad full band approach feels like some kind of "reveal" or even like an indulgence nearly? But God it is so so sweet and so earned. I listened to person pitch for first time in years this morning. He's come a long way

I mean you. Can't really know for sure that this live version is even a similar arrangement as the record so I wouldn't count it quite yet. Luckily I somehow managed to both love yet mostly kinda forget that old Barcelona demo.
Listening to these now, I realize I remember some of those songs but not well. Hopefully i show restrait with this boot

Panda Band for sure goes first. Toro is the headlining act. On reddit I saw someone post the track list and they said panda band played for about 45 minutes.

only 45 minutes??

Dunno if that's a particularly short set cause of the venue/curfew. But I wouldn't count on Panda Banda playing beyond an hour at any of these Toro shows.

an hour is definitely more what i would have expected considering the event (at least in chicago) is billed as "toro y moi & panda bear"
chicago set times makes it seem like that might be the case:
7:30 - nourished by time
8:15 - panda bear
9:40 - toro y moi
