Grabbed tickets for the Tubby's show. I will try to record but NYCTaper frequently records shows and has done Steve Gunn before so I'm hoping he's set up.

Geologist's set was awesome, really won a lot of people over. After the set Brian walked into the backyard and a guy just looked at him and said "Hey, THANK YOU!"
Setup is octatrack and hurdy gurdy/effects and he is shredding on the hurdy gurdy. It's very cool having kind of followed his evolution with the instrument, totally feels like he's hit on his own style and is pushing that.
I recorded the set on my phone from a good spot in the room and am glad to send to someone who can eq it up a little, otherwise I'll get it on archive.org sometime this week. If you're able to catch one of these shows you won't regret it.
Motherfuckers JMB & Co. came together barely one year ago with a desire to create long improvisational soundscapes akin to music by masters like Neu and Xhol Caravan (from which they adapted their name). With Geologist (Brian Weitz) on hurdy gurdy, Marc Minsker on bass, guitar, harmonium, and Jim Thomson on percussion, this instrumental trio is preparing for their upcoming release of a debut album.
