This is a seemingly insensitive thread where you get to pretend you're eligible for the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant you a wish, and your wish involves the music of Animal Collective.

What do you wish for?

Mine would be for a studio recording of the 2008 version of Chocolate Girl that's tracked, mixed, and produced by Ben Allen III.

My other wishes would be for Noah to record Laughed for a World Filled with Fantasy and have Rusty mix it, a la Person Pitch. Also, for Dave and Noah to cover Enya's song Only If.

I think Pullhair Rubeye is great, and I think the final version they went with yields some cool results. However, Sasong does not benefit from the Pullhair Rubeye treatment at all and I would really like to see it rereleased, unaltered, in high quality, either on bandcamp or a 7-inch or whatever.

Obviously, this is literally NEVER going to happen. Hearing a polished, fully realized version of Sasong will remain a pipe dream indefinitely.

I'd take a terminal disease for an unreversed studio Foetus No-Man with vocals

Alternatively a studio version of the Noah's Ark material, or Prospect Hummer (particularly It's You) with the original band vocals. Vashti's are good, but Noah's performance on the bootlegs is wild.

Studio Sponge Luke for me. Would also take Ark-era Winter Wonderland.

Probably a stretch now that the big Sung Tongs anniversary has come and gone, but I’d love to someday hear a studio take of “Happy Singing Band.”

Great topic! I'd say for me the grail would be "Always You" fully done and produced like Visiting Friends.
There's sooo many great live jams that never made it past live version stage, but that song is a big one for me. And the fact that there's 2 versions of it that are so different makes me wonder what Avey/Panda would come up with.
2nd: Person Pitch version of "Song For Ariel" would be a close second.
3rd: Prospect Hummer tracks with Avey/Panda vocals.
4th: Foetus Man unreversed with the cool Avey/Kria coo'ing parts like the live version had.
