I started this on the IIN page. Thought it was kinda fun to compare what colours people see when they hear a particular song. Wanted to share my Centipede Hz interpretation since that album has the most distinct colours to me. Wondering if others feel the same way...

Moonjock - Orangey red
Today's Supernatural - Reddy brown, some purple, some white flashes
Rosie Oh - Sludgey brown/green with flashes of yellow/orange
Applesauce - Turquoise/blue, some orange warmth
Wide Eyed - Bright cyan, reflective
Father Time - Slightly paler blue, some white,
New Town Burnout - no defined colour, dark browns, purples, the guitar stabs are more yellow, the squealing synth/organ used to be much brighter yellow in the Take This Weight versions but it's duller here, the oh oh ohs are red/purple, ending is darker blue.
Monkey Riches - Black, white, yellow, I don't like the images and colours this evokes, that synth squiggle is a horrible lifeless white nothingness.
Mercury Man - Purple/red
Pulleys - Deep purple/navy blue, some royal blues
Amanita - another which changes over time, but I don't like the song enough to goal into greater depth, it's a kind of terracotta overall.
On reflection, this also encapsulates my issues with the record. The reddy/orangey songs and the blue songs are very distinct. The purple/brown stuff kind of glues them together but I don't feel they blend very well. It's their least cohesive album for me, lacks a clear identity and feels cut-and-shut, this colour analysis explains why (in my head).

Interesting. Very different from mine. And here I thought my interpretations were objective hehe. I do feel like the colour menu is not specific enough at times, so explaining the colours kinda makes more sense. Cause I do see flashes, dots, squiggles, etc of different colours aswell.
For me, I feel like each song has a pretty distinct colour which actually lends to it's cohesion. It's like different shades of chaos.

I always deeply associate music with its artwork, so it's kinda impossible for me to associate the songs with anything except that. Like every Centipede Hz song is just red for me. But since I listened to the boots of the Time Skiffs/IIN? material so much before we ever saw the album covers, I do have specific colors I associate with those songs. Here's my interpretation of Skiffs:
Dragon Slayer
Car Keys
Prester John
Strung With Everything
Walker
Cherokee
Passerby
We Go Back
Royal and Desire

Mines somewhat different for Time Skiffs, except for Walker, Passerby, and Royal and Desire. I know what you mean about album art. But it only happens sometimes with me. Like, MPP is all shades of green, blue and a bit of purple.

Not what I see necessarily. But I like it! Nice light pastel colours. Next time I listen I will try to imagine these colours.

That was kinda hard to determine. Lots of reds in there for me.

Isn't it now was easier cause i knew the songs before the cover was out. with time skiffs dragon slayer car keys cherokee and royal and desire were the only ones i knew before prester john and the cover dropped. I think a lot of the pastel colors are just me thinking of the album cover.
