Disclaimer: an insider has claimed Magicians is NOT the opening track, but for completion's sake I have still included it here, for anyone out there cynical of insider information / stubborn enough to believe it will still be the opener.

none of my feelings have been right about this album so far so my vote for genies probably guarantees it won't be the opener

Has to be Kings or Genies. Nothing else makes sense to me

I really like the idea of Kings > Magicians as the opening set but the part that gets me is that they haven’t done an ambient opener since spirit and danse. it would be an awesome way to break the mold though.

I still say Kings is way too long to be the opener. I like it as a closer, like a weird epilogue after everything else.

Soul Cap as opener makes sense to me, also coming around to the idea of Broke Zodiac. That could be a good Dragon Slayer style "let's get right into it" type of opener.

i also think kings is too long to be the opener but i also think kings is just too long period lmao. it should totally be about a minute shorter and end with the resolution it has instead of doing the verse a second time, it would be a freaking great opener that way imo

To me there is no way it's not the new song, which is supposedly a briefer track; it fits tightly alongside all tracks when considering vinyl sequencing. I don't think any of the songs that have been played live fit as a opener. Perhaps Genie's but I would see that as a closer over anything else.

I support Genie's though and also Kings but do not expect Kings.

SC would be cool in that I like when early singles are openers so that it feels like your listening to it doesn't fuck too much with the way the initial flow is. Like your listening to the first track over and over before proceeding eventually

maybe in a week they'll announce that there is no album because none of the songs worked as an opener so it's just gonna be nine singles

Genies and Soul pulling away, neck and neck, as favorites -- didn't know there was so much of a push for SC as opener! i wonder how much of the SC single news has influenced that...

not surprised that New Song is in 3rd currently, as none of these songs scream "opener" so it makes sense that some are just defaulting to the idea it must be the new song

i have not heard any of these songs (been waiting for the record since they were first debuted lol) but still think Defeat would be an excellent opener. maybe it makes more sense amongst the other tracks, but I can't imagine it anywhere in the track listing besides the opener or closer.
