My bet would be on gem & i.
But if I look at the past couple of singles, they've pretty much released all the songs I did not expect to be a single, e.g. all the ones from time skiffs and defeat, while not putting car keys or dragon slayer out as singles.

Anything is fine except Magicians or Stride. Those gotta be saved for the album release imo

Yes that is the dream, tho I doubt Domino will deviate from their usual release schedule. Just kinda sucks to do the usual 3 (or more) singles before release when the first single is already basically a third of the album lol.

Gem ftw, I prefer Broke as a song, but that one feels more album-y maybe. They really could both be singles tho...

Also surprised no Soul Cap for single hype. I think that makes more sense than a deak ballad or the epics...and it seems like we need 2 more and they obvs probably wouldnt both be Panda.

If Genies or Magicians was a single, seems like it'd give false impression to people this is their prog/post rock LP with long-songs-only

Gem for sure. Panda song, lots of melody and lots of bounce, nice variation in the chorus

i think broke has always been the most solid pop tune of the era, have been a little confused by ppl emphasizing gem and i over it so much lol. i do however think that gem seems to be a little more emblematic of the era in a way, both in terms of sonic aesthetic (just bc it has vibraphone hehe) and also lyrically it seems to be a reflection on supposed glory days like defeat and magicians.

I just think Gem and I is so funny. It's such a funny track. Broke zodiac is like, really pretty and shimmering almost. Gemini is like, this ballroom jaunty track thats easy to groove too. And the lyrics are funny as shit. Crack open another beer, let's get in it. I don't know if he still says This is a gun anymore, pretty sure he says see in the sun, but when that was the lyric it was lit as fuck. And then. my favorite lyric I find myself quoting irl since its such a ubiquitous phrase.... LET'S DO IT AGAIN!
