Defeat comes out Aug 18 on vinyl Buuuutttttt next week digitally. So I’m going the optimistic route and saying September 22 for album release

This is also based on someone with insider connections in the album thread having heard the album and usually promos are sent out 3 months ahead of time and so if they heard it let’s say this past week then 3 months from then is mid to late September

I originally thought September to line up with the U.S Reset tour, but if the single is dropping in August, that seems weird. Album announcements usually come with a release date and preorder info and that seems unlikely if they need to be promote the single first.

My guess is that the preorders go up in time for the holiday shoppers and the album drops early next year.

What would be really fun is if the whole album dropped digitally on August 18th with the defeat vinyl single, album vinyl a month later

Feeling more confident about my guess now that its looking like the announcement is coming next week

with the defeat single, reset in dub, and fall avey and pb/sb tour dates, really feeling itll be a sept-oct announcement for a dec-feb release. think there will be an ac tour supporting the release of the album in early 24, but it'll be supporting this album in name only and theyll be playing mostly new stuff and only a couple songs from this

I have literally zero faith in Domino to release this anytime before November. I'm still hopeful they'll stick to 2023 like the band has stated but I highly doubt it'll be Q3.

We were coping pretty hard when the band was saying “it might come out this year” as little as two months ago lmao. “Nah they’re just saying that because domino it’ll be out next week!!”

For the love of god, someone please ask Noah or Dave on their respective tours if they can mitigate CA anxieties by at least providing us a ballpark idea of what quarter this is going to be ANNOUNCED

my guess is Oct 27th, just in time for Dave's fave holiday, and for publications to put it on their end of the year lists...
