Wouldn't mind doing that thing we did for PW once where all songs start with a certain amount of points and once a day you can vote for a song to lose a point, with a song being eliminated once it hits 0. Certainly won't be able to do it for the next album when Defeat never loses a point.
My list (mostly based on what I listen to most):
1. Royal and Desire
2. Prester John
3. We Go Back
4. Passer-by
5. Strung With Everything
6. Cherokee
7. Walker / Dragon Slayer
9. Car Keys

Car Keys
Cherokee
Royal and Desire
Strung with Everything

Walker always felt like it should've been a derek esque closer. Gonna be fucking excited to throw it at the end of Encyloskiffia Timeia when the next set of songs is all released

Yeah I can definitely see Walker at the end, "go and take a load off / put the baggage down" works so well. Oh and "we'll see you out.. there" ofc

Find I’m hardly listening to this record anymore. Enjoyed it when it landed in February, but I’ve hardly returned to it. Maybe a lil distance will make the heart grow fonder. Been immersed in this era for too long honestly.

The main fuss for me is that a majority of the 2019 songs I really fell in love with are going to be on the second record and not this one. Would've loved to see all these songs together somehow into one record, but I'm definitely not trying to dismiss the TS songs we have currently.
1. Car Keys
2. Cherokee
3. Prester John
4. Strung With Everything
5. Royal and Desire
6. Walker
7. Dragon Slayer
8. Passerby
9. We Go Back
7-9 I find myself listening to the least but they're still cool.

woops
I think the only change I'd make is swap We Go Back with Passer-by. Makes the album end on a more somber tone, from the WGB outro to R&D.

I'd put Strung as the opener and then have that go into Dragon Slayer
and yeah WGB to Passer-by into R&D to close out would make more sense as well. haven't thought much about the rest

I like the running order as is. Anything I'd change would involve songs on the next release. They fit these nine together pretty much perfectly

^Yeah I think they did a great job with the sequencing, I wouldn't change anything personally with this set of songs... but it is cool that they played R&D first at a few recent shows. Works pretty well actually.

i don't really have any qualms with the tracklist as-is but if we're proposing alternate sequencing...
Dragon Slayer ->
Car Keys ->
We Go Back
Walker ->
Cherokee
Passerby ->
Prester John ->
Strung With Everything ->
Royal and Desire
the only qualm i've had on relistening is having we go back as the penultimate track. always felt it was of-kin with car keys on this album and could have been pushed a little more towards the middle. passerby -> we go back -> royal and desire has some sonic incongruities with all of the different sounds on the album.
for a total freakout, could also do this:
Cherokee ->
Prester John
We Go Back ->
Car Keys ->
Dragon Slayer
Walker ->
Royal and Desire
Passerby ->
Strung With Everything

ya I like this too. I don't gripe with the sequencing on skiffs really but agree WGB would have made more sense near the top

I absolutely love that combo, along with "We Go Back" being in the first third. However, I think the album has to end with "Royal and Desire" and I like "Dragon Slayer" and "Car Keys" in the front half. Maybe most importantly, "Prester John" kills the momentum in the front half and I think it's most suited in the back third, which is rectified with this version. I also like "Passerby" smack dab in the middle. Basically I think this is the superior tracklist, haha.
