Great! Hoping for good questions and great answers. I would like to know what subjects Avey, Deakin, Panda and Geo have been talking about next plans or ideas in their e-mails. But i dont know if im going to ask there.

Gonna ask him for another reading suggestion. I read The Untameables which I discovered through an interview of his and loved it. I wonder how he will navigate the flood. I want to ask about what he is thinking for this solo double LP he's been considering, and I want to ask how much he has used the monomachine. I want my own personal Avey Tare AMA.... Maybe this will inspire the others to do one too. I'd go nuts over a geologist AMA almost more because itd be more intimate

I won't be around during the AMA, but I'd be really pumped if some asks:

- After reading that you're wanting to release more live material, is there any hope that re-worked versions of songs (Chocolate Girl, Slippi, Leaf House, etc.) could also be officially released?

- It's been a number of years now with high energy songs via the CHz era. Do you see yourself shifting to make slower and more ambient music anytime soon?

Unfortunately, as far as I've seen from AMAs, only the most highly upvoted questions are the ones that get answered (usually). So it really just depends on the reddit community and which questions they feel like voting to the top.
I could be wrong though idk I don't get on reddit that much.

In my experience you have to get your question in really early if you want it to get answered. I've only ever gotten a question answered during the Jim James AMA, and for that one I was at my computer the exact minute it started. So my advice would be to get someone to post your question for you right at the minute the AMA starts.

Your question also has to be funny, witty, or interesting enough to get upvoted by lots of people, because only the most-upvoted questions will get answered. Sometimes some pretty thoughtful questions get upvoted, but often not if they're very long, multi-paragraph questions.

Depending on the person doing the AMA they will sometimes answer a lot of questions or only a handful. I have a feeling Avey is pretty busy and probably won't spend more than an hour, maybe hour and a half answering questions.

Also, just a tip for everyone: although the AMA technically starts at 1pm PT/4pm ET, sometimes the AMA thread will be posted on Reddit 30 minutes or an hour before that. This is done to give people time to ask questions, and then Avey would start answering questions at 1pm PT/4pmET.

I don't know for sure that this will happen with today's AMA, but just in case. They posted the Malkmus AMA 30 minutes early, if I remember correctly.

I kinda hope it doesn't get a lot of attention because people might ask questions that are answered in interviews. I think he's looking for a different kind of interview. I'm wanting to ask super specific questions but no one except you guys would upvote anything like "How extensively did you really use the monomachine on Down There?" or "Do you practice singing? or keyboards? or just jam and have jammed so much that you built up the skills?"
