Favorite AC Moments

This thread has been done before but it's a good one to have because I feel like I always have different moments that become the highlight of a song that might not have previously stood out.

My personal favorite might be when the drums just overpower everything in pride and fight such to the point that it seriously sounds like something is going to break

Some other favorites: queen/doggy transition, chord change in banshee beat, the odd distorted vocal-sounding sample during the chorus-ish part of revgreen, when the bass hits in in the flowers, and the way that avey and panda sing the "am i really all the things..." part n the live boots and radio session version of taste.

So many others but these are the first ones that come to me

Lately I've been seeing things
They look like they float at the back of my head room
I don't find it strange when I'm talking to you

so much emotion in these lines, fuck this song is incredible.

"I'm not here to pass on"

Panda sings that particular part so sweetly and reassuringly

that part in Heads Hammock when the high-pitched Avey comes in for the first time. actually the part just before that as well.

the really serene instrumental part of Cemeteries

The last thirty seconds of spirit they've vanished.
The chanting at the end in ahh good country.
The whirlin part at the end of tell it to the mountain , or just that whole song.
The 8 minute mark in queen of my pictures.
Mid way two sails.
Banshee Beat.
Winter wonderland gets me every time.
Definitely the second half of daily routine.
Wide eyed into Father Time.

Yup.

PumpkinsFlashback with the career-spanning highlight reel :smoking:

I absolutely love the 1:43 mark of Turn Into Something. I can't even tell what instrument that is - it could be a guitar with a bunch of effects on it or a sample or something entirely different. Whatever it is, it sounds like it's 1000 feet tall.

"Everybody came down just to see me leaving
Baby take my hand now can't you see I'm happy
When the story's mine I think I'll tell it different
It's a shame to hear the sound
When the penny hit the ground
And I want to go back home
When does this bus?"

fuckin perfect

i agree abt the end of Frightened, it might be my favorite moment on mpp. and second half of routine, of course

"he almost lost his color.../...caught by the end of his tail" parts in Hammock.. and 3 Umbrella parts when he leaves the c/g chord part and hits the e, i think.. "always teasing, but I can't imagine if I didn't know you, I don't take for granted" and that squiggly organ line, dang

"I wonder wonder wonder wonder... what when. that feeling, i know, could silence means we're home" in fickle cycle

"weights on my mind, so I can't get sleep at night" and the weird squished vocal sample that explodes into the laundary dryer-accompanied peak in alsatian

I thought I forgot an album. Sung tongs.

That's a hard one. Either visiting friends or the softest voice.

Finally answer :

Visiting friends. When you get through the whole song , you feel a sense of relief. That song captures every emotion ever felt ever ! What a song !
