Fake IDs are a must
If you are under 19 and manage to get in to this show, I think it's fair to expect a rollicking good time.

See all you losers tonight! It's gonna be a great day! Look for the chubby guy with a beard and glasses with a skinny guy with a beard and glasses and a redhead girl with no beard but also glasses.

Amazing show!!! It seemed like Dave was having a lot of fun so it kind of made up for the last AC in Toronto stuff. (first post!)

It was a great show indeed. Avey sounded really good, and he even acknowledged his last couple (bad) trips to Toronto. But he made up for it. The band was crazy tight. It really struck me how similar it is on the album vs. live. Dustin Wong was really cool too.

Man, guess it's not for me. I was hoping the live show would bring some clarity to the songs, as I find the album versions to be very dense and sometimes difficult to navigate. Ended up leaving midway through the set, I was so annoyed. I thought the sound was painfully bad. Couldn't hear anything except the drums, anytime Angel's station played high frequencies, and every fifth or sixth word from Avey. Just sounded like noise most of the time.
Ah well, I suppose it might have been the venue - or just not my vibe.
ONWARDS 2 PANDA IN MAY

so I just had to come in here to tell my sob story with this show. it's not a very long story:
I got sick last week. And I was not well enough last night to go out. I *so* wanted to go to this show, but instead I was at home lying in bed, sweating away my sickness (slowly).
yup, I started feeling bad on Monday night, but I didn't realize I was sick until I woke up on Tuesday feeling completely awful. The whole time I was just crossing my fingers that I would be well by Saturday. But nope, not yet. And still today not quite. I need another day or two, I think. Definitely recovering, but it's taking its sweet time.
sigh. Avey is sick twice last year coming to Toronto, and now he comes back and I'm sick. I really hope there'll be another time. I was looking forward to this show SO much.
I better be well for Panda Bear!!
p.s. Frumpkin's post makes me feel a little less bad about missing it.

the show was amazing! all three of em killed it. the freakouts in that it won't grow and outlaw were ahhhhhhhhhohman i love avey freaks and with jeremy jammin it dammmn and roses was a straight eargasm same with blind babe, a sender, duplex etc etc and yeah if they're nearby you gotta go. also dustin wong was phenomenal. he looked so happy with the reception he got from the crowd, it was heartwarming. fantastic night for me. personally lee's palace has been stellar for the two shows i've seen there (DARKSIDE back in january). great atmosphere and sound, audience gets into it, super intimate.
no true surprises in the set. they played the whole album (can't remember the exact order) but they opened with catchy and the encore was modern days e --> strange colores.
