Oh you should try to make time to go to Surly Girl! It's in the Short North like maybe 2 miles south of the venue (they are both on High St.). The food is amazing and it's affordable. Great beer selection too.

I saw Dent May there playing for a crowd of maybe 25 people. It's a super cool venue, intimate but large enough that it shouldn't be crammed, and the vibe would definitely gel well with Slasher Flicks. I'm going for sure!

So I am thinking about trying to borrow a ZOOM h4n recorder to record this show. Are there any places someone could point me to make sure I don't do a shitty job? Specifically what settings I should use on the recorder and where I should stand?

Nevermind, I recorded a local show this weekend and I think I know what to do.

I don't know shit about recording shows but definitely record at 24bit/44.1khz. Maybe 48khz if you want, couldn't hurt, although CDs bring it back to 44.1 anyway

Recorded the whole set and going to put it online once I get it all edited from the wav file. Stay tuned!

The set was amazing. There were a lot of extended jams on the songs. It felt really good. Met Avey, Angel and Jeremy after the show and they were really rad. Got their permission to put the songs up online from each of them.

Duuuude, so stoked for your boot.

Hell yeah, this was great. The frantic energy of the songs really comes through when they're doing looser, more improvisational stuff live, especially with Jeremy going crazy on the drums. Personal highlights were That It Won't Grow, Blind Babe, and The Outlaw -- those weren't my favorite tracks on the album, but I guess I was really feeling that sort of darker, aggressive vibe hearing them live. It was rad hanging out with you guys too.

This sounds amazing and thank you a million times for this! One thing you might want to know though is that the photo you embedded into each file is HUGE and increased the size of your upload by about 80 MB. Next time you might want to just leave the photo in the folder but not embed it. Regardless, thank you again for recording and posting!

Thanks for that feedback. I didnt even think about that until now. In the future I will fix that for sure. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.

Some of my favorite audio "moments" in this recording include:

• At the beginning you can hear my girlfriend comment on how all the smartphones started appearing in the audience
  
  Avey talking about the eclipse and dedicating the next song to the Pisces in the audience
  
  You can hear me right before Little Fang tell someone what recorder I was using. (next time I record I'm taking a vow of silence, I just didnt want to be rude to the guy who came up to me)
  
  During Modern Days E, someone says "I can't see!"
