So I just joined obviously and I was just wondering about this forum a bit, been on here a few times over the years but usually I just go straight to the tabs/lyrics section to help me figure a song out.

But I came onto the discussion thread and have surprisingly learned more about the band. I guess the story is they came on here sometimes to answer questions etc.

Apologies if there is some topic or thread devoted to new users learning about this stuff, just looking for some history on the forum. I'm not usually a forum browsing kind of person beyond a couple hyped video games.

Hey man welcome to CA.

This forum has been around I believe since around the Sung Tongs/Feels eras and there have been several incarnations of the forum since then, this being the latest one. The band used to come on here and there was a Q+A sub-forum where they would answer questions, but due to their rising popularity over the years which gave way to some inappropriate mishaps, they have chosen to be pretty private (understandable really).
On here we just kind of share AC news in the main forum, and then tabs and live discussion are pretty self-explanatory. You can get to know us personally in the Collected Animals sub-forum. And the rest should be pretty easy to figure out. If you'd like to share your story of how you got into AC post about it in here, http://collectedanimals.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=610
that should be a good intro for us as well as a good intro for you to most of us on here.

god, yeah when they came here a week ago it was really shitty weather so that just seemed like the thing to talk about at the moment.

And then we talked about the weather in Portugal compared to here. It was just really odd small talk with one of my favorite musicians.
