Collected Animals

For some reason I haven't had interest in listening to them in the past 4 months (expect Panda Bears new songs in the boots) I have been listening to other bands that are equally amazing (Candy Claws, Julia Holter,etc) Now I remember that listening to AC for me is that I have to be in a certain mood that fits with the song (Anyone else like this?) What song would you recommend I listen so I can get back into the AC vibe? And listen non-stop?

I haven't been listening to them in a while but I'm keen to hear their solo releases next year and whatever they do after that. Also there's a ton of live recordings I still haven't heard yet. I'm not listening to current live recordings of Slasher Flicks or Panda Bear though because I want to listen to their albums with fresh ears.

Back in high school and early college I'd listen to them all the time. It makes sense to go through phases. I'm sure they'll come back to you. Takes time and distance to remember why you appreciate things sometimes.

I listened to "Always You" last night to calm me down. That's prob the first AC I've rocked in a whiiile.

Checking out some live vids always makes me get back into them when I'm having a dry spell. But hey there's a lot of music out there, take the time to explore other bands too

listen to feels or wait for them to announce some new release dates.

I think the real question is ... why'd you stop listening ? like flughhhhh ...

for me what works is to find somebody that hasn't heard them or gotten into them before, introduce them, and you're enthusiasm will rise with theirs as they slowly discover the endless fun that is animal collective...and you get to watch as they dig deeper into eps and panda and avey solo stuff....it all starts to sound new again.

I went on a binge a couple years back and only listen to CHz now. Mostly to get hyped for the show they keep cornpilling... Not that I dislike their discography. I'm just listening to other music now and don't have time. Just wait. Next year should provide at least 2 new AC related albums.
