Maybe this has already been asked, not sure where to look, but does Panda get a Grammy statue since Random Access Memories won album of the year? He seems to be listed as "winning" along with all of the other contributors/producers/engineers, but I don't know if that gets him a statue.

If it's like the Oscars then the winners have to actually buy the statue.

My brother works for the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and was in the studio hanging out as they made the album, so when they won the Grammy for it he got like a certificate that says that he has won a Grammy, but it's not a statue or anything. I'd imagine Panda gets one because actually contributing to the album is a lot more than my brother ever did and he officially has a "Grammy."

I had this random thought today: while I know that it samples a Zombies song, the beat and melody of "Song For Ariel" bares a slight resemblance to Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams".

The Deak sent another update a few days ago but it was about printed media. Angel did a brief q&a on fb or twitter recently (I forget which) and said to keep your eyes peeled for slasher flicks news but didn't give much away.

Hey, have you guys seen the documentary on the sex problem in Japan? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yil_cn_1gMo Sounds kind of random, but On A Highway is actually in the doc starting at 10:55. It was crazy hearing it, since this is the last place I'd expect anco to be in.

Totally! It's perfected in that performance, with the outro tease and everything!
On a side note. Did anyone eve figure out what avey is doing with the synth when performing daily routine? He's flicking some switch or knob and hitting a pedal right before the main arpeggio right? But it's really hard to notice the exact sound of what he's doing...

Portner is aiming to rejoin with Animal Collective and put out a new record "some time next year," and is thinking about a proper solo follow-up to Down There consisting of unreleased material that he tested out on the road while touring behind that album.

Some of the shows we've played over the past year are our all-time favorites. We record all of them, so to listen back be like, "Man, we really nailed that," is nice.
Alex, what is "things that make my heart ache?" for $250.

This could really be a classic year for AC: several solo albums and probably new AC boots at the end of the year, kinda like 07. So excited
