how much input do you and PB have with regards to marketing strategy? i'd imagine that panda commands executive decision making power over most of it due to his reputation, but i'm curious!

? Que?
What is this 'marketing' u Speek off ?
Billboreds n stuff ??
Noah's in LA with the paste pot & ladder as we speak ! !
Heehee
OK ...serious now ......
Hmmm.. On this ?
It's kinda special ......were all super psyched for how the LP turned out .....so....
In short - Noah pulled together a team of peeps
whom he feels simpatico to the project to help with logos, videos , animations , TV , press , design , web sights , remixes etc etc -
all co-ordinated by and centred around Domino & his management .
We all scurry & jet around and try to place stuff firmly in the Zon directed by Herr Bear . It's a fairly tight core on the music & visual side & gets extended & scaled up to take that into other media .....
I guess everything from me popping spit here ( anti - marketing , surely ? ) to a spotify ad , a sunset blvd billboard or tumblr piece is all technically part of " marketing "...

Thing is .... Selling records isn't necessarily the main aim ....
Making good work that can give the listener/viewer pleasure and a journey of sorts
and undertake some levels of deeper human communication -
- That I think is the main aim from where I'm looking -
-to follow his mojo and make interesting , border pushing & stimulating work ..

I feel good music usually sells itself ?
.... But ofcourse we want people to know it at least exists for the trying .....
We're trying to take things in benign and beneficial directions ..
...... Whilst never loosing sight of that uber maxim !
Fuck Art !
Let's dance ! xPetek

The radio show will happen over three days. Maybe an unreleased track per day? (Cosplay, Papa D, and Jabby). personally I always hope for stuff we didn't even know existed but I'm stoked even if it were just the album tracks being played. But Sonic has said he wouldn't leave us hanging so have no qualms!

And what's up with the ones that are not a specific time but like an hour or so like France? Are those P&P Radio chunks or will the song be played ~somewhere~ in that time or?

Yo, go to http://dominorecordco.com/pbvsradio/ and then click list view. It shows which songs will be premiered, and they're all from the album.

I think it's kind of funny how you guys are all already hoping for the non-album tracks to pop up. The album hasn't even been officially released yet! Good things come to those wait.

Yeah although AC stuff usually does get pretty good coverage I'm especially hoping that this album gets the attention it deserves cause it's a real gem

I'm just wondering who chose the tracks that are going to be played at each radio station.

France is getting 'Come to Your Senses' So Rad! I think French people are more contemplative and are better listeners =P

LA getting 'Selfish Gene' I'm imagining the scenario in which this song is gonna be played 'round L.A. CA I'm not telling you guys how I'm imagining this, but it's in a very Californian way, so cool.

México getting 'Crosswords' I think this was a good decision, people is gonna get trapped in this song, Principe Real could do the same thing, I guess.

This idea of playing different 'unreleased songs' on the radio 'round the world it's pretty cool, GREAT IDEA! Congrats.

And as Victor has said I do hope too that this album is getting the attention that it deserves.

Again, this whole Radio thing is pretty smart!

Surprising entries on that list. Cool that he's a sci-fi nerd. Gonna have to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes now.

He must have been misrepresented in an interview or two before. He'd mentioned Aphex Twin in an interview before and it seemed like his feelings cooled on the guy since high school. Wow what an endorsement here

Soooooo...... who's everybody's fav pix for remixes....?

Pretty happy there's already a Shabazz connection, could see them on Sequential or Wanderer...

Plus would kill for a Burial/GrimReaper remix, Paradise Circus vibe anyone? Then i could die :v

Finally would love a Gorillaz/Blur/Albarn/James mix of Mr.Noah, might sound weird but that track is brit soul & they already got the Ryder vibe

If you have a smartphone you can DL the BCC Radio app that has Radio 6 on it. Or you can get the Hola extension for Google Chrome and change your location to UK. Or you can just wait because it says the show will be up shortly after it's aired.

There is enough time between the broadcasts that it would be possible to have an event here from the 4th to 6th or even all the way to when the album is released too. : )

I am not sure what it would be specifically, maybe sharing music and other artforms more than usual, maybe trying to create in different ways collaboratively and individually during this time, then there will be the atmosphere of a festival where the radio broadcasts will be central and there will be many happenings all around to experience and later to look back on!

And, hopefully the moderating team can create the banner image using banshee's artwork very soon!!

annnnd ok while i'm here i'm just gonna gush out some love for noah, boom, and CA
Spoiler: show
i dunno why but i kinda fell off this board for almost a year...
except i've been reading this thread and enjoying the boots (crikit = leek geak) and all sonic boom's special treats and everyone's enthusiasm has been awesome and so fun to be even just peripherally a part of. thank you everyone.

and i wanna say THANK YOU SONIC (and mr.noah if you ever happen to read this) the album is phenomenal. the grooves are so good and the melodies and the spatialization of everything is so cool and the textures of all the different parts and it all just sounds FANTASTIC together. it has brought so, so, so much joy into my life. it's the real deal. infinitely inspiring. in october i'd been jobless for over 2 months and literally spent my last $90 to get a pre-order to where i live and couldn't be happier about it!

LOVE, crikit
