Avey put together a really, really, really, really special record. I hope folks don't reduce Eucalyptus to a pissing contest between PBVSGR because that would hella cheapen both records.

woah those are great. kind of open up some of the songs for me even though a lot of the vocals are pretty clear as it is.... sports and when you left are missing but i can wait. this is sick. his imagery on this album is soooooo good. stuff like PJ and boat race is so mystical.

here are a couple photos from the listening party last night in brooklyn. sorry for the shots of random people i don't know. i wasn't trying to creep, just trying to get a couple quick shots that show the listening environment. was pretty sweet. except..they played the album twice, and even though my wife and i had heard it several times, since we had driven up from harrisburg, we figured we'd stay the whole time. mostly everyone left after the first listen, but there were still a couple people hanging around. after coral lords, they stopped the album and said, 'well, that's the end of the album. thanks for coming.' it seemed kind of a weak move. it seems like it would have been more forgivable to say, 'hey, it's 8:00 and this thing was only supposed to be from 6-8 so we're going to have to cut it short, sorry.' saying it was the end of the album seemed ridiculous. but whatever, it was still sweet. they gave out free posters, and it was a sweet environment to listen to the album. twice. mostly. anyway.. also, sorry about the rotation on two of them..photobucket is being uncooperative, and i'm at work and unwilling to spend anymore time dealing with it, but you get the picture..

Got my record today. Slightly bent on the corners but overall a nice package. Excited for chicago show!

I don't know why Domino couldn't just send out the lps early. The two Shabazz lps come out same day and I already have them.
