Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I was going for haha. I love the way Richard Cheese always quotes melodies from other songs in his songs, so that's why I quoted Girl From Ipanema in my cover

btw, imagine a video for Lonely Wanderer! msorry to keep saying how much I love Lonely Wanderer, but it is indeed my favourite song, and it's wandering away furthermore from the rest. only Jabber can top LW in the future. I hope it does ofcourse

Yo yo.

I threw together some alternate PBVSGR covers, using Oddsac for new tetxtures. Just something I enjoy doing in my spare time. Hope it's OK to post the link here.

Cheers, my man.

I have others from earlier in the year too. I tend to try and blend one album cover with another or simply alter one on its own. If anyone has any ideas I'd be happy to give them a shot.

just curious,
does panda use the eventide pitchfactor on the boys latin vocals? sure sounds like the diatonic effect on it. anyone know?

Nope . It's just him singing two parts . No auto tube or fx other than ambiance

Ah my bad, thanks for the clarification Taco. That is some pretty wacky artwork

We've already gotten two great PB videos from this album so far (I actually really liked the Mr Noah vid), although I'd be totally psyched to get another

my wife took that at 'fish fest' as i like to call it (san antonio festival) . we've been in Lisbon for that a couple of years over the last few ...

Murakami ?
ha . i
think he's busy hanging with farrell & kanye ......
I think he's the bomb tho....... big fan . one of the pics (below) is the view from my mixing spot ...
below the mardi-gras kreuwe favors (Proteus , Knights of Choas , Leviathan & Hermes are my socials )
are my second opinion ( murakami's dob )
and my third opinion ( Bon Scott's favourite toy - the crater critters - a mid '60's oz cereal toy )
( the elephant dude ffrom camp lazlo shows the exact mid point between my speakers - hence his hand position )
I might nickname him MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP !

This album keeps hitting me in waves. I've given it a rest over the last week because I gave my girlfriend my music player but I burned this for the car and I've just been singing my heart out. I've not been so hooked by a record since MPP.

idk m8..

i really like how mushy the production was on chz because i think it fits with ancos sound really well (a collection of pieces blending together), where as booms production is perfect for panda because of the precision noah tries to get out of his music. sonic's work with panda works because the goal is to hear everything in harmony, but i like that sludgier production for anco because i always thought their sound was more fluid than any of the members solo projects. theres magic hidden in the chaos, pk's about showing us whats behind the curtain

As someone who was admittedly disappointed with how the freebird/studio versions sounded, this album is finally on the verge of all falling into place for me. It's really all about letting go of what parts you wanted to stay/go and accepting the album as a whole, rather than comparing the songs to their live counterparts.

I learned my lesson about listening to boots.

That festival is amazing! The second time I went to Lisbon happened to coincide with it... completely by coincidence. Everyone was so excited when we got there and asked if we planned our trip around it. Night time was absolutely bonkers. Those wonderful meandering narrow streets get PACKED to the brim! It's so great.

Yeah, I love the album, the only thing that took getting used to was not hearing what I was used to hearing. I'm over it now, I don't think anything was lost instead of gained on the album.
Spoiler: show
although I do still sing the "oooooooh" when i sing along in BBCM

Didn't listen to any live shows for whatever reason and came into the album with no idea of what I was getting into.

I think it's his best work. I wasn't too big on Person Pitch and Young Prayer and Tomboy just fell short on a couple songs for me, but this Album is so well rounded. There are so many songs that just get me going emotionally and Mr Noah is catchy as fuck. Tropic of Cancer is so sweet and perfect, but Selfish Gene is by far my favorite song right now. Can't wait to get the CD's of the LP and EP.
