for one thing, i feel like this seems very mpp part 2, in the best possible way. in a lot of ways its way different, especially cuz its kind of noisier and still has the rock-ier vibe of chz sometimes but it definitely seems like a next-level take on some of mpps textures. more squelchy bass prbly, but so much aewesome euphoric electronics and synths, a lot of stuff reminds me of taste, guys eyes. wwiws kind of too...

avey and pandas songs both have their own very specific vibe. i guess thats how it always is but it seems more pronounces here... vertical is crazy and feel good vibes like wwiws until there are these weird key change-y moments... its a chill song but also kinda paranoid sounding or something, vertigo feeling...

burglars is amazing and reminds me a bit of moonjock, but faster and sweeter prbly. feels kind of like the applesauce here. bagels is amazing and like a totally blissed out tin pan alley song on top of balaeric hip hop.

on delay i can barely get ahandle on but its awesome. reminds me of the feeling banshee beat but faster and techno-y/motorik. golden gal is super sick too... almost spirit-y maybe, kind of roses on the windows esque too.

pandas songs are amazing too. they feel super driving and also kind of robotic or something. natural selction and spilling guts stand out a lot. i dont really "understand" recycling yet

"Golden Gal" sound a lot like it could be the "WWIWS" of b-sides to Avey's Down There? The melody sounds soooooo familiar to songs from DT but wayyyy less dark and wayyyy more MPP

golden gals chorus threw me for a fucking loop. There was an expected note and beat from the amazon samples, but the song almost deliberately does little stutter stop. I thought the rip skipped at first. Damn so good.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, lots of panda, I can hear a huge pbvgr influence on some of the tracks which panda programmed drums for. Aveys cuts however I think are my favorites, The Burglars, Bagels in Kiev and Summing the Wrench are the biggest standouts to me on first listen.Some of the slightly delayed 2 part harmonies kinda remind me of panda tracks like Boys Latin. Kinda wish there was at least one slow drone-esque track (as AC albums typically have), but I like the shorter, more-to-the-point form they are going for. Overall I am very satisfied, and can't wait to own the physical record then see them live! WOOO!!!
