ASCAP repo shows a song called 'Bonfire' written by all of AC and performed by Avey. Think it's something new or a 'Bonfire of the Vanities' mixup?

Hopefully it’s a Childish Gambino cover

I think there was a full-band BBC version of Bonfire of the Vanities with the MPP lineup that was called “Bonfire”

Noah just tweeted a link to a record store / label, anyone know what the significance might be? I can see that they carried some Jane CDs but nothing new or AC related as far as I can tell

i assume that noah and the person running that site are buds in some form, i know he's mentioned fusetron and the end of some live shows when he's giving a shoutout to Danny and the sound team

Fusetron is a label/distribution company run by Chris Freeman, their sound tech. He also does sound for at least Panda's solo shows. Geo has mentioned him several times as a source for O'Brien System tracks.
Geo, referring to a song in his radio show wrote:
Often played by @fusetronsound during load-in and set-up at AC shows in the past.

Panda interview wrote:
Who’s your most reliable music source?
It’s any of the guys in the band. Take your pick. Or it’s my friend Chris Freeman, who runs a distribution company called Fusetron, which sort of specializes in more kind of fringe sort of stuff, but his taste and mine are very similar. So, I have a lot of luck with him and he kind of knows what I like. So that makes it easier.

Been on a Benfica kick lately, it's the song that hits the deepest on Tomboy and I actually love the production on the studio version. And that slow fade out is glorious

i love benfica, i always pictured a imaginary music video for it being like him belting it out in like the arctic sea towards a glacier and there's like stuff projected on the glacier. it's a cold sounding album

benfica whips ass that song makes me so happy

returned to stgstv for the first time in a while and i forgot how much i loved the opener, that feedback loop and the synth sweeps......... yummy

for some reason that panned synth chord makes me think of 1080 snowboarding, i wish i knew why or which specific neurons are connected in my brain for me to think that

^lol random association but I can see it, that synth feels like a gust of wind on a snowy mountain

that opener is one of my favorite AC songs, it feels really scary and beautiful. the feedback noises make my brain itch but I love them. those noises paired with the synth chords and the simple vocal melody make me feel really emotional

Never heard about this part:
wrote:
Lennox himself admits that, from the years 2002 to 2009—a time period that practically encompasses the band’s initial rise—he was unsure of AnCo’s longevity. “The band kind of fell apart a number of times,” Portner states, recalling an emotionally charged letter Lennox wrote to him at “a crucial point in our friendship. I remember a big falling-out in our practice space with Noah throwing drumsticks—that was a point where I was like, ‘Oh, it’s over.’”

Yes; sometime last week it suddenly clicked that they will be touring rather soon and that it will certainly be incredible and basically completely unpredictable!!

It also feels like something else (although it is also impossible to guess what it would be!) may emerge related to MPP later this year, that, perhaps it was planned that way so it would not distract from everyones' concerts and projects that happened in the first half of the year!

Haha. Return of the Wildcats on VHS had a regrettably outsize influence on my moronic tenure as an adolescent.
