Definitely attending. Would certainly be down for an AC meetup if not airBnb
An Avey-Panda tour would be a marvel. I think they would disregard most of Avey's new stuff and meet somewhere in the middle. Panda adding backing textures to In Pieces, PJ, or SOAP makes me weak though. Reworked person pitch with Eucalptus material would be beautiful

oh im going lol. i live like 10 min from this venue. i can't contain my excitement. i can relate to show fomo tho and most of the time i go out of my way for a show the band announces a longer tour etc etc

ya... i've never been to nyc before so that's part of it for me... even if they were to tour sung tongs, i still like the idea of seeing them in NEW YORK. just a west coaster over here...

We will definitely expect to hear some extras from that era too !!!!! frogs and pilots ..maybe even my favorite baby day??? Its gonna be some sweet stuff!!!! I didn't ask about any equipment or staging (kinda was an after thought..) I could certainly see both of them using their current solo setups tho

Along with the newer songs Avey is jamming live , there is also a bunch of songs that (I'm assuming for his next album ) he won't be playing live. Very very exciting news !!!!

On FB someone said there'd be a live stream and an archived song. I don't think they'll both play with guitars although that would be cool. Cue the YouTube meme video room that era. Could be Noah on the octa and Avey with a guitar maybe

Right now my money is on both of them playing guitar and then using samplers or synths to add some new/different background fx stuff. That way it still has a fresh spin on it cuz they are for sure gonna change it up somehow cuz it's AC. But the way the show is being described def makes me think that the music will be recognizable as OG Sung Tongs, e.g. 2 dudes jamming on acoustic guitars

wow, with the combination of the event being made 18+, avey himself calling mentioning a possibility of playing covered in frogs and pilots, and the fact that this is in new york makes it really hard to not start uncontrollably sobbing of happiness. i fucking love this band so much guys

No. Always you was not hinted as an extra, altho very welcomed if so. Baby day wasn't confirmed . frogs and pilot and another extras is what he said ... I tossed out the song baby day to him after he had stated that , but is was mixed in with other things and so he didn't directly confirm or deny that it would be one of the extras

i kind of assumed they'd just play through the album and maybe do prospect hummer as an encore. hadn't occurred to me that they might throw in some of those "extras" either during the show or as the encore. what if they do covered in frogs before winters love omg

These sung tongs era songs have gotten me through some of the darkest, toughest times in my life. listening to things like the other music recording and other boots from that era have time and time again kept me going when nothing and no one else could. just to see these guys perform these songs is more than i could ever have asked for.
I'm probably just going to open a new credit card and fly from Portland, OR just to go to this haha.
