IS there anywhere you can download the O'Brien shows? I'd love to listen to these mixes without having to be logged onto the internet, they're so good and I've missed so many of them! Thanks!

You could try the NTS app maybe? I doubt it though because they seem to operate entirely through mixcloud which has pretty strict rules even when it comes to streaming.

One quick request, if I may, I've read through this thread several times without being able to find the O' Brien System demo compilation mentioned in another thread. Could anyone point me in the right direction, please? Thanks.

Catching up on DJ sets, Avey's Analogue Players mix is really good. Kicking myself because I reached out to Avey on IG to get a song name and they said the band in the interview lol. Sounds like there's a Portishead song in there I've never heard before.

In my last big edit I took out Coral Morphologic's spotify playlists but those are back in the Year of the Reef section, it belongs in there

"blueballs" nails it! super spaced out compilation of song transitions and snippets, all sounding real tasty.

This mix was so much fun...like a board members mix but done with the resources the band has...loved so many of these parts over the years and having them all in a band-mixed single track is so sweet

haha the only one that got me disappointed the song wasn't starting was Summertime Clothes, i was ready for the beat to kick in. pretty neat!

This months Obrien system seems to be in limbo bc of the long songs. Fingers crossed it gets archived soon.

Listened to Aveys guest DJ Dublab spot again and it’s very solid stuff, good tunes and latter half feels like the most overtly political avey (or any of them) has/have gotten through mix. I knew enough of the songs to scrap together a list (in OP now) and others were goggleable.

AC commented on the obrien instagram post: "the guy who archives the episodes on the LA feed was on vacation last week. Coming soon."

Latest episode has been archived. Geo mentions New Psycho Actives and possibly a new volume someday. Makes me feel better having vol I in the OP LOL

Er! Geo announced an Obrien system a week ago but he never showed up on the NTS schedule and still no archive. Maybe he announced it early, we'll see

His show is scheduled exactly every 4 weeks, so it was definitely supposed to be on last Tuesday. When I checked a few days in advance, he was on the schedule but when I checked on Tuesday morning he no longer was. For some reason they had a guest host in his time slot.

I imagine the show isn't actually DJ'd live(?) so my guess is that he submitted his mix too late or something. Or maybe that guest host was someone particularly important so they just pushed him out? No idea what actually happened but I wouldn't imagine he'll have another episode until the next time in 3 weeks.

Obrien system is back on the schedule for next Tuesday (23rd). I'm guessing he'll just do the set he planned for last month

E: It's playing now. Sure enough what he would've played last time. On IG he says there was a miscommunication with NTS. He does say he's taking a Month off. Probably practicing with the guys.

taking this month off, not a future one. but yeah probably for practicing and living life. should be back on the regular schedule going forward

i gotta say deakins set on this is absolutely fantastic. i mostly listen to a lot of electronic music and dj sets and i gotta say he really blew me away. uploads on youtube comin' w the sick danny perez visuals as soon as the giant vids finish processing and all that.
