I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned in this thread. Hasn't Deakin mentioned that his album is going to be visual? or at least have a visual component

That's for the africa project. It's essentially replacing the artbook component.

has anyone ever posted the messages that are flashed on the screen during urban creme? i imagine they can be figured out through some heavy visual aid analysis in photoshop and junk

there's a lot going on in oddsac, a lot said, and a lot suggested! i personally wonder who some of the faces are. i also am curious if there was a subliminal reprogramming attempt, even if it was never actually discussed and just sort of "danny's vision". i've wanted to have a real humble conversation about that kinda thing with the people who don't immediately throw their arms up and say "you're all crazy" but hey man. hey, dudes.

oddsac. anyone ever really TALK about that piece of work, rather than just pull the crummy 'oh, yeah, well i mean it's kind of alright, the music's cool i guess'

if you're an animal collective fan, you should truly geek the fuck out on some of their projects and sink your teeth in to feel where they were at

What do you mean by messages, hearsmiles? Like are you saying there is actual readable text hidden in the background of the urban cream visuals? I'd like to rewatch oddsac again and see what I've missed.

jfw7, are you sure its only compression artifacts?

Yeah, sorry I forgot I was trying to engage here, as it's been a few months since I clicked this. I may just not know how to internet and dunno how to be notified if a thread has responses.

Anyhow, there are specifically highlited colors flashed on top of the "Noise" scenes, which also aren't just artifacts of compression. To state that otherwise is either intentional misleading and trolling (which is fine), or blind ignorance. I've made out words myself, and I will try and make it a project to get a few screen caps up so people know what I'm talking about.

Watch it again yourselves in the meantime if you wish to peel the covers back more
