i know this was a page back or so, but i'm just catching up from yesterday. i absolutely intended to post this exact same comment.
also, i really feel that this album is 'perfect'.

the drum samples in crosswords drive me crazy in the best way
acid wash's enya/pop quirks are balanced well with the crazy electronics it's sandwiched between, makes it quite the closer
the synth swells in BBCM are low in the mix to the point of almost being a tease but so nice
the piano sample in lonely wanderer is lovely
i miss some of the vocal flair he added live and stuff, but i'm finding the studio versions are getting lodged in my brain very nicely, despite initial uncertainty
also 192kbps is transparent guys, you can't really tell the difference unless you've got some well trained ears and a high end system, although i am questioning the quality of the rip itself, with the skip and possibly different mastering from retail

i'd expect better audio logic from someone with an autechre avatar.

I'd expect someone to stop arguing about sound quality everytime someone says that it's not that bad/recognizable. But YAKNOW.

I'll throw my two cents in and say that this album has exceeded my expectations on every level. Pete and Noah have totally knocked it out of the park, and there's a good chance that this could end up being my favorite PB album to date. Even the things that I initially found a little off putting have begun to grow on me.
I think it's important for all of us to remember that having minor quibbles with production choices is pretty much guaranteed after living with the bootlegs for so long, and that whatever mixes we're graced with will never sound as good as the ones that we had dreamt up in our not so collective heads. This is (very) obviously because no two people will ever produce a record that sounds exactly the same, and that's what Pete, Noah, Josh, Dave, Brian and Ben H. Allen are: People. People who have opinions and preferences just like the rest of us. Their opinions aren't always going to gel with our own, and to think that any of these dudes objectively did something "wrong" is pretty misguided
This doesn't mean you can't have your own predilections, of course.
That said I really do feel that these songs came out about as "perfect" as they could have been for my palette, and I'm really glad to see that the vast majority of people here feel the same way. Bravo on a job well done all around.

I'm still trying to soak in my first listen. Totally missed when this first freebirded, but this has made my day at work. I mostly stayed away from the boots or at least didn't listen to them much. It's going to be a serious of different experiences with the album.
Anyways, I had a daydream these songs sounded even sharper live when Panda Bear opens for Daft Punk next year.

This album definitely feels like a trip. The way it starts and ends really ties it together and the transitions are beautiful pieces, love the weird digital almost Reboot quality of the sounds.

I'm trying so hard not to burn this out but when I'm not playing it, I'm singing it (which probably sounds horrible) so I cave and put it back on. Been at work for only 4 hours and already been through 3 times (EP included in playlist). I need help, I'm addicted to pbvsgr.

Something to notice, Noah knows how to start an album : Count on me, Comfy and now Sequential. He is the king
also so many highlights on this record, it's like we have 4 or 5 Bros

I thought about dying before I would get a chance to listen to this album all the time. I'm gonna be traveling to La for christmas because my sister is having a baby. I have so many apocalyptic woes regarding la in general, and I've been having recurring dreaming of being in a city that gets destroyed while my family and sometimes being part of it sometimes not. But now I can travel all the way there with the grim in my ears and with no regrets of dying if i do.

hahaha someone said something about uptempo dance underwater; i love BBCM the most right now because of that i think. that one's so visual. sounds like a waterwheel disco that's also in the sky and there's jets beaming around? it's very convincing i certainly don't want to bring that other guy

Still can't believe how good this album is. Really only notice the audio quality issues at this point on some of the denser parts like the explosive parts of Acid Wash and most of Principe Real

People abstaining from the freebird but still reading this forum and filling your head up with other people's opinions...............
You'll ruin your first listen

the lyrics boom posted for principe real say "to break whats in the DNA" but he is definitely saying "to keep whats in the DNA" on the studio version right?

Nah, he's just got some really interesting pronunciation on some words.
He says "break" as if it were "bree-ache"

touché. I never meant to derail or anything. I felt I had to defend my opinion being ripped on though.
no worries. seems I'm a bad poster. can't seem to convey my opinion the right way.

and... Lonely Wanderer is soo soo good so pure so honest guys. and Nadir.... and everything. this experience is getting more surreal, and therefore real real, with each listen.
first my reaction to those wo said " this is the best AC-related thing since MPP " was " dont forget FBK AND ODDSAC. but it's definitely up there.
