That was my favorite takeaway from this... I'm looking forward to a punchy record, but when I go see them live this year I want to be taken way out there... and it's always fun to hear their different versions of songs.

was happy to hear the details of the live set. didn't want too much of a change there, but it will be nice to have those punchy painting with songs to break up the expansiveness

what do we consider a freebird?

because it'll definitely be online before the release date, whether it's via a sanctioned stream from the band or a copy that's sold/shipped earlier than the release date or whatever

but i don't think it's going to freebird via promotional copies or any other shenanigans like that, which is surprising

I live in Canada and in a small ass desolate town so my record is gonna arrive hella late like always but I'm waiting till it comes no matter what. Waited 4 years I can wait an extra week or two to make the listening experience extra special

yeah sorry to derail the thread with kanye talk... but this aggression will not stand, man. simply saying that this'll be a rip off of piñata is hilarious, he's been working with madlib for years. sure yeezus probably had some death grips inspiration in there, but it was still very much its own thing. discrediting kanye by saying he just rips off trends (or even one specific album) makes it pretty clear you just want to dislike him. read some articles and listen to some songs then you can talk shit about the closest thing we have left to bowie
