God dammit those people would not shut the fuck up on the Desert Daze boot. Like holy shit sometimes they were super loud. Really sucks cause it does sound good but I was completely distracted the whole time.

I think that the remastered Meow Wolf recording is the best sound quality wise but desert daze is pretty good

it probably needs to be on the record that i tainted the recording of the 4-27-2018 Panda Bear show at Mohawks in Austin
In the later part of Tropic of Cancer at 64:40, there's that liiiittle hocketing phrase. But live he doesn't sing or do samples for the off beat parts. I assumed he DID because he does them for Boys Latin. Anyway, I thought I'd be sooo cool singing the off beat part, but I just made a huge jackass of myself. APPARENTLY I was standing right next to the person recording the show AND i found out that live he doesn't do that part. So I am loud and freaking clear on the recording. Halfway through the phrase I back off cause I realize that that part isn't playing to cover up my singing, so I start sweating bullets going .... oh my god.... everyone can hear me.... god noah can probably hear me through his headphones..... i sound so stupid... pls let me die..... i was so embarrassed i just wanted to curl up in a ball and hide for the rest of the show... then when I got back and listened to the boot and heard myself i actually did curl up in a ball and hide for a while and im pretty sure i cried. like... if noah doesnt do the hocketing live, i dont have the right to alter his performance like that. like, i sung those parts on boys latin but you can't hear it cause the vocal samples are playing, so its fine. im so sorry everyone. its been like a year and a half and its taken me this long to work up the courage to tell people this. im sorry to everyone at the show and everyone who listened to the boot. but for posterity's sake so they don't think noah just randomly decided to do it on this show or something, it must be admitted.
Sorry on the delay for this, I saw someone else uploaded a recording so I didn't hurry but I took a listen to the other one and there seemed to be a lot of talking so here's this. Feel free to upgrade the artwork. If any audio master there likes it and wants to try to make it better with the raw file, let me know and I'll send it.

Your good, onn. That's what concerts are for. Embarrassment is unavoidable these days. Too many of us sniff it out like hyenas now. Dont crack under that pressure
And if youre still worried about it, just tell people you were really fucked up

Thanks! The Desert Daze boot would have been perfect if I didn't have to hear peoples mundane conversations the whole time. I don't get why people can't save their conversations for after the performance and just shut up and listen to the music, it spoils the experience for people who actually care and want to get lost in the experience of the music without having to hear peoples unimportant conversations! End rant!

Hahah. He did it a bunch for Tropic, then some shows he didn't. We were all wondering if that bit would make it onto the record. So you were just unlucky, but you were certainly not wrong to do what you did.

Happy Halloween, ghouls and goblins!
Here's my recording of Avey's Asheville show, the first date of his 2019 solo tour!
Is it possible that somebody can upload these somewhere a bit more accessible? A new account can't download torrents without jumping through hoops.

I recorded Avey Tare and Deakin's improvised set at the New Orleans Airlift 10th Anniversary Show. With my 5 years of amateur audio production experience I mastered it, obviously someone else may be able to do better so if they wana try I've also uploaded the raw recording.
When downloading from google drive sometimes you have to add the file extension yourself for whatever reason. Obviously the file extension is as indicated- .wav or .mp3.

Thanks jfw, that show is great. So sad that the Leeds show is lost to the ages though, I would kill to even know what the setlist was.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why there are so few recordings from 2008 compared to '07 and '09? Seems to be considered sort of an in-between year for them as a band, but it's not like they weren't touring heavily that year.

People didn't record them? People have to be willing and able to record. It's not much more complicated than that. 2008 was also a touring year with mostly festivals and shows overseas (Europe, Asia).
