Crazy to think I'm seeing panda tomorrow. Maybe I'll creep around for him and ask him questions. This reminds me of an interview with panda where he was either recording/Playing with ac then had to fly to do a solo show. He said he really disliked having to do both at the same time. Can't blame him. I imagine he's done with greaper except for these last couple shows.

i'd love to hear this by the end of the year, but i also don't want the boys to rush things. a spring/summer 2016 release would be ideal i think. got to add the finishing touches, mix it and sit with it for a bit. also i'd love a tour before the album. never seen them live because i didn't live in a big city til recently, but i can't imagine hearing new songs for the first time live.. almost brings a tear to my eye thinking about it.

Yeah I completely agree, CHz felt the most like a retread... Pitchfork saying Merriweather was like a combination/summation of their work up to that point is still stupid as hell but I think it's kind of true of Centipede.

I hope Deakin's okay and that he's just happily chipping away on his own stuff

this image was posted on East West studios instagram account yesterday the caption was "Today Animal Collective finished recording their new album in Studio 3. we are so proud of them and this Album, can't wait to hear it!!! Cheers!" but they have since deleted the pic

the girl is a singer/actress named Lexie Galante who most likely didn't have anything to do with recording the album. the guy is unknown but probably an engineer

Lol I think I'd be down with that Mac DeMarco thing mostly because of sharp a left turn that would be for them

Although it would be a bit sad too because up to this point they seem to have avoided sounding completely derivative of a contemporary artist
