This may be a stupid question, but are we in any danger of pre-orders "running out"? Is there a way of knowing when this window will close?
I've been putting off ordering the LP due to being completely broke, though part of me is worried I'm going to miss my chance to get this "deluxe" version that comes with the Mr. Noah EP.
the t-shirt pre-order pack is only thru animal collective merch site now. its going fast ...
u can get the pack w/ litho , but not with t-shirt option thru Domino or AC .
I think getting the 'mr noah' bonus will run out at some point too.....
only the first main edition has this .
it'll go to jewel case packaging later i believe . and be just the lp - no bonus EP .
hope this helps pk

I work at this Turkish restaurant in New Orleans, and I keep seeing these flyers posted on our windows promoting a show with some local dj called Sonic Bloom, and everytime I see it out of the corner of my eye I read it as Sonic Boom and get a rush of excitement thinking that sonic boom is actually playing a show here followed by much dismay at realizing I'm just miss reading. Say Sonic, if you're ever in Nola, stop by Fatoush for some excellent turkish cuisine and coffee, I'd joyfully serve ya some mean moussaka. I remember a while ago you gave us a clue to something which was the turkish word for honeycomb "petek." I always think about that, because there is this turkish girl that sometimes comes into the restaurant whose name it petek.
Also, that's a really cool giffff. Looking forward to this video emerging. The melody and progression of boys latin always influences a great amount of joy and energy in me. Good for the down days, good for the up days, all around days.
Cheers
petek = honeycomb for sure
in slovenian , petek= Friday
and sure enough......here we are petek yapping on a petek petek...
but LOOK OUT !
do not eat that sea squirt ! it's not our natural anemone !

Can I just say how amazing it is that at no point (to my knowledge at least) has Panda screwed up the fast alternating vocal thing in boys latin? That section is so long it must be exhausting to sing every second word live and memorise where it changes and everything

boys latin is double tracked
he sings one part live and the other is prerecorded
i think that's what roopn means by singing "every second word". it is really impressive, even after listening to it so many times i have difficulty keeping track of where it changes and what each track's melody is.
Pur ore !
Love it - papa Espesh. .....

Moooop! DJing for my house (lots of folks around) when I play Faces now i fade out of pandas and into this one. No offense to P&P who I know put days and days into the best version, but yeah.. everyone's like "WOAH!" when it switches to this one b/c it's obviously the same song and yet female vox and such a more spacious and downtempo feel. poooooM!

I had a dream last night that the full album became available to stream, and I was simultaneously thrilled to listen to it and pissed because I wasn't home when it happened and incredulous that it would be streamed so early.

Can I just say (as many others have said) that I'm really impressed with everybody's covers? Like god damn. Everybody stepped up their game. We've actually put together an impressive album (minus 2 songs) that I think any Panda Bear fan could dig. We gotta get this shit out into the blogosphere once it's complete.
obv should say Cee Ay or something instead of Pee Bee.... right?

came across the physical release of Mr. Noah last night and since I haven't seen it around here yet I thought I would share. sorry for the quality but there was lots of interesting information on the release.
after so much discussion about the artwork (which i love) I felt compelled to look up Marco Papiro. This is a great website. I noticed he also did some spacemen 3 art, sonic did you bring him in or how did you guys get hooked up on this album?

I wonder if juice explodes ((<click it)) from the creature in the (alleged) Boys Latin video ... I mean... how could it not?

I really really hope it's released somewhere. I want it in good quality so I can make out the whole. In boots it's weak and live it's so intensely stimulating, its physical effect on your body is more exciting than trying to identify de tails

Think we'll get the Boys Latin video this week? I don't know if I'm ready

This has the drone at the end at pretty good quality, just make sure you've got good enough speakers where you can crank this up to SB status and feel the wall of noise making yr day.
Woah that's great quality! somehow missed this one. what is it? a soundboard recording or like studio produced? Sounds live but the no crowd makes me think it's soundboard output.
Been playing this song all day on my old Hammond organ.

Just a fun video of Mr. Boom lurking in the background of Jools Holland
adding some of his sonic wizardry to the Stereolab performance to distract until
Jan 2015

It is Noah's demo of the song that Pete shared with us. I think Pete said he made demos of the songs before the debut ATP performance.

Can anyone who's seen the live show explain what the appeal of Principe Real is? Every version I've heard on the boots, it just sounds boring to me. Not trying to be negative, but with so many other good songs, and chances of some being left off the album, I'm not sure why this one has stuck around so long.

not really a fan of it either. I'm saying that based on the boots... Noah didn't play it when I went to see him. maybe the studio version will surprise me. I'm sure there's a reason that it found its way onto the record.

i think it's mostly because the instrumental version in the chz broadcasts was so dope? and it was the only familiar material / known title in the first boots

PR does seem like an uncharacteristically straightforward jam for PB. Sounded great live for sure. I think the studio version's gonna be banger
I feel the same as u JohnsonNoise, I'm sure there's a reason it's on the record. It's also right before Selfish Gene/Nadir on the tracklist, so I'd say it kinda has to be good in order to stack up

The demo and the ATP versions of the song are SICK! But this "Electric Feel" version he's been playing live is a little bit of a let-down in comparison... I really hope that organ-y synth and saxaphone sample don't get pushed down in the final mix like the saxophone in "This Side of Paradise" did...

love the sitary sample! Doesn't sound like electric feel to me. . . nd . its the club jam of the century. DJ's rejoice! a PB song that's fat!

Yeah I don't know how you could not like it.. it was the highlight of the set when I went to see him
actually Principe Real followed by Nadir was the highlight of the set.. such a strong 1-2 punch

totally agree, atp version is vastly superior, hate that swirly sample, feel like it detracts from the original chords

principe is a jam/wake up sheeple. Danced so hard to that at the chicago show. Really hope the studio version is a fusion of the chz radio and new live version. boots really don't do justice to the new version, but I agree that the organs are a bit too quiet.
