i know dude :( no one has the answers to these questions except the noahtorious one…

we're hoping for an ep with popadam, old faces, jabberwocky, cosplay, and even possibly the preakness

that would be a long-ass EP. I'm thinking we'll get a Boys Latin EP first, with OG faces, jabberwocky and one more (preakness? cosplay? popadam?) and whatever songs don't go on that EP will end up as b-sides on singles. That seems the most realistic to me

why Preakness? has that been reworked or something?

It got reworked for his last tour circuit and apparently it got the studio treatment(?) and since sboom said none of the songs would get cut people are cautiously optimistic that it'll get released in some capacity

yeah in addition to everything akaio said, i'm pretty sure one of the times sonic said the whole 'nothing left behind' thing it was directly in response to someone asking about the preakness, so i'm pretty confident it'll get some sort of release even tho it isn't on the album

Wonder if that would make Preakness the first PB or AC song to get 2 official studio releases recorded during different sessions.

Wouldn't it be 3? I mean, both the keep and TB versions were official studio releases, right?

They're both the same version of it, and I'm pretty sure the same recording too

I had my first Animal Collective related dream last night. I was in a record store that I've never been in before, and in the back of a store they had a whole wall full of 7"'s. It was Crosswords on the A side, and an untitled Deakin song on the b side. I was very disappointed when I woke up.

I had an AC dream last night too! I was with a bunch of friends and then I heard Untying the Knot coming from this huge building, being played super loud. I walked around and they started playing (what my mind invented as) PBvsGR but it was at a distance and by the time I arrived it was over. Crushing.

Guys, Stan called it with this post back in August '13. PB is literally using stock samples on some of these songs, so "default" isn't far off at all.

I'm half-joking. I just think it's funny that Stan made that comment last year and it ended up being true, in a way, although it's not "default midi beats" exactly on PBvsGR, it's default samples and loops
