The woman is Lexie Galante. A singer/songwriter, piano player, producer and E-list actress. Her style is very poppy and I doubt she is on the album. Don't know who the guy is. Probably an engineer.

And ODDSAC songs (proto-Mr. Fingers and Urban Cream(?) debuted at glasslands 08. Spirit and NPA vol. 1 are the only 2 AC projects never to have been played live prior to release

Lots of speculation has already been made or more to come...I still feel like this album is going to have a "minimalist" or "dialed-back" vibe to it. I think it's what they're geared to at this point. Or shit maybe it'll be grindcore and surprise me.

Yo i'm predicting/praying for an album cycle beginning now, meaning we'll start getting tidbits and hints every couples weeks or so and it will gear up quickly and like... maybe a Oct. or November release?

Whoa I have a reason to read this sub now (funny that I religiously visit this website and yet I learned this news on my Facebook feed). I am hesitantly excited. Have they been playing anything from this album live or is it one of those rare times where we get the album before we've heard the songs?

These are the only 2 snippets of sounds from this recent recording session that we have and they are probably just Dave fucking around Deakin and Avey did play some new songs (and a new version of Maya) during their dj sets over the past couple years, but those could very well just be one-offs or for their solo work. But perhaps some of the beats they were messing with during those sets will pop up on this new album. Overall I think the dj gigs and the LA beat scene will play some part in this new release.

We also know that they were checking out gear from these guys http://www.makenoisemusic.com and most likely practicing at Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville about 2 months ago. Other than that, the speculation for this album is off the charts

I think pbvsgr was recorded in Lisbon around January 2014, and they spend the year working on it and it was released only a year later, so "recording" can be far from actually done
