Sounds like the title of an album where AnCo covers all of OK Computer.

Listening to Alvin Row on the way to my last ever school day was incredible, it was almost too much to take in.

If I'm not mistaken pumpkin is a teenager right? I know I had a phase of ONLY listening to AC when I was 17.

i guess it's just that when i was in high school i took the train there, so i spent a ton of time listening to music everyday

i think i would've burnt out on AC if i just listened to them only… but that's just me of course

although when a new AC release happens, i definitely binge on it for weeks
(and in tomboy's case, years)

AC's discog is so diverse, you can spend a lot of time just exploring. But as most of us know, eventually you've heard everything and maybe you're still not satisfied. So we get a situation like last night where a lot of us were jonesing real hard for a new bootleg that never came. We are addicts.

At my most obsessive listening binges, it was probably around 70% for a few months and evening out to 50% for the majority of the first year i was into them.

Pumpkin ain't no youngin'. I am twenty actually hah ! :)

But I guess I just realized that there is no other music out there that can come close to the way AC makes me feel. Lyrically, structurally, it's all just too perfect to me. I know you guys feel the same way. I know there is other music out there, and I listen to it, occasionally, but just that :mmhmm:

I love you guys :D

but its so nice to come back to them after a break. I think I could listen to them every day and not get tired of them but when I go through their albums after a gap of 2-3 months it all just hits me so much harder. tolerance breaks are good for most things you enjoy, and the more you love it the sweeter it is when you go back to it.

on an unrelated note Ive been listening to Terrestrial Tones again. didnt think it was worth starting a new topic and I know its been discussed but do you guys think well ever get another album from them? I remember someone saying a couple years ago that they asked eric and he said the two of them were just in really different places style wise but to me theyre closer in style now than when they made the albums. I hope it happens sometime, seems like they could make some awesome stuff together with where theyve both been going.

there's no other band like AC. at a couple points in my life i've been absolutely obsessed and probably gone a like month or so without listening to anything else, and those were good times!

but yeah, obviously there is so much great stuff out there -if you are willing to work a bit at finding it! a forum like this is an excellent resource!

AC is definitely not the only band I listen to, but I talk about them ALL THE TIME. I don't even realize it all the time haha. I would say I'm obsessed.
Me and my best friend were talking to someone, and afterwards he said "dude, we're both so obsessed with Animal collective. We bring them up so much!"

By FAR my favorite band ever, even if I'm listening to a different artist more at the time.

I'd call AC my favourite band but they're part of a group of 3 or 4 bands that are on a very similar level and are very important to me, but yeah there's so much great stuff out there that it's always good to find other stuff you like.
