Stoked to listen to this. Studie was such a good collab. Really liking a lot of these Panda features but for me Step by Step takes the cake. I play it at least twice a day.
Edit: Just listened to his Woo! remix. I dig it. At some points his vocals remind me of Jib Kidder slightly.

For year-end-list consideration, Panda's secret ep:
Step by Step (w/ Braxe + Falcon) ... 5:23 ... 5/1
Passed Tense (w/ George Fitzgerald) ... 4:01 ... 8/30
Did It Again (w/ Teebs) ... 2:49 ... 10/4
All Over (w/ Nosaj Thing) ... 3:00 ... 10/25
Best (w/ Lifted) ... 5:58 ... 11/4
Not sure about all the dates. But: missing anything?

There never was an HQ digital version, the only one out there was ripped from YouTube. Apparently Paul Maroon didn’t want to share the digital master

I feel like I'm going crazy because I have a specific memory of downloading a link on Twitter from Paul of a HQ version when he realized there was a bad quality rip floating around. I lost the HQ version when my hard drive crashed in November 2020, and since then I haven't found any other source for the HQ version. I even reached out to Paul on Twitter who proceeded to tell me that he doesn't even think he has a HQ version of it anymore. So... idk. But I remain convinced that a HQ version is out there.

I remember it pretty differently, someone on this board knew him and asked him if he would share the HQ master and he didn’t want to share it, so I proceeded to rip the YouTube version myself

I can shed some light on this. I uploaded a vinyl rip soon after receiving the 7 inch, a little while later Paul reached out to me and asked if I could upload the HQ version, for which he sent me the master. Some people on CA messaged me asking if I could share the file to them since they bought the vinyl... suffice to say it's not my call to be sharing the master, hopefully everyone understands.

I don't think anyone can blame you for not sharing the HQ, that would be betraying Paul's trust. Not sure why he would choose to keep the high quality version away from ppl, but it's his call. Thanks for uploading it to YouTube
Hopefully we can get it on Bandcamp someday

lol thanks for clearing it up! I was one of the people who messaged you about it, but totally agree that it should ultimately be Paul's decision to share it. hopefully he does someday, though the YouTube rip sounds good enough for me for now
thanks jordan for clearing that up! I was pretty certain the version on youtube came from a hq file, but wasn't sure if it had circulated or not.

Yeah, thank you Joradan for your clarification. That said... I'm still kicking myself... Idk if it was you or someone else but I had downloaded the HQ (non Youtube rip) somewhere and now I no longer have it

gorilla vs bear mentioned that the Boman remix features a brand new Panda Bear vocal - anyone know if that's true? I don't hear it
Crazy collab. I just recently became a fan of flume. This track is nice

Not really a flume fan but the vocal is great, of course. Anyway I initially said exactly the same thing about the nosaj thing feature and that became one of my favourites, so remains to be seen as always. PB still hasn't missed, insane.

We pretty much have a new panda bear album with all the features he’s done over the years. If you put them together, what would the track list be?
I feel like this has a good flow to it, what do y’all think?
Doin’ it Right (Daft Punk)
Step by Step - 12” version (Braxe + Falcon)
Passed Tense (George FitzGerald)
Studie (Teebs)
Pyjama (Teengirl Fantasy)
Stick to My Side (Pantha Du Prince)
Things Fall Apart (Zomby)
Did It Again (Teebs)
Best (Lifted)
Aftershow (Império Pacífico)
One Step Closer (Flume)
All Over (Nosaj Thing)
I didn’t include the Paul Maroon & Dean Blunt songs, they make the track list a little less cohesive.
