You mean the apocalypse sample or the little vocal diddy at the end?

quick question: Nadir was my favorite songs off the live shows. I absolutely fucking love it.
It does not appear on the track list of PBVSGR.. do you think the title got changed or is the song really being kept off this record?t that would be a shame.. The Song would be a freaking great closer for the album.

edit: ok i just looked for the answer myself. It's called Selfish Gene on the album =) Yeah, second to last song

Sonic Boom came on here and posted this:

Which we interpreted to mean: Nadir is Selfish Gene (and possibly also Acid Wash), and Garage is Crosswords.

Panda has also told people after shows that he wants to release everything, so I wouldn't fret about it

Picture this: a videogame is released on XMAS eve, where you litteraly play Panda Bear. It's a 2D side-scroller castlevania style. You have to throw beats at the grim reaper's minions. Each level you complete unlock a new song from the album.

This may seem a bit far fetched...but what if the website is a placeholder for a Panda Bear vs. The Grim Reaper video game? One in which our protagonist has to fight in order to help save the world from the steely cold clutches of the greaper?

Edit: :pwn:

For the last level, it's really grass rootsy stuff and they revert you to an mpc2000 and you have to put your own samples on a floppy disk and out-produce the greaper, who has reverted to his mellotron using samples of organs on the tape loops

It seems pretty likely that acid wash is the apocalypse now sample/THX drone right? He's ended every show with it, so makes sense it would end the album right?

If there's already a DJ Hero (never thought that was going to happen, really) I don't see why this could not be released as a great video game! the last level is something serious.

Going back to the Grim Reaper subject - I think the wait is ok and reasonable, but I know what dervish meant, we are living in the too-much information era, and it's safe to say that we need to change that in some way for our own good, as sonic has said "you cant really chomp it all at once" so let's chill out a little

Also, we should abstain of the leeks, for sure, this is a great material that has to be listened at least with a modest sound equipment (speakers bose at least) I just can't wait to have my 24-bit WAVs of the Grim Reaper and have a great listening experience! (24-bit WAV files are the best way to listen to GR)

P.S.
Taking the EP out for a drive is a kick-ass idea, 'Mr Noah' is the right song to blast while driving 'round the city/town, you're going to catch people's eyes with that song & you're going to be hearing that little voice inside your head: 'YOURE SO COOL'

If there were to be a lil game.. i'd love pixelated versions of the songs to be in there. would be a sweet hype-machine and give a taste without letting loose the full production. I'm a coder and I wish I had the time to just sit and make one! Alas I'm not an entire crew.
And I like that interview. I can hear him having more fun in these songs for sure. I will always love Tomboy but he's right it is rather serious and like I can't usually put it on just to be happy and chill (other than like surfers hymn) it's very reflective and naked.

I just hope this album doesn't cause people to say, "this is Panda Bear's comeback after the disappointment of Tomboy." He just likes to make all his albums sound different, and obviously not everyone is going to like all of them. Regardless of what you think of Tomboy's style, you have to admit PB put just as much work into it as any other project.

Also, how can you not like Benfica? Come on people.

Pretty sure the abbreviation is PBVSGR simply because it's cooler than PBMTGR. also, i like the connotation of panda bear vs the grim reaper. it implies a battle

who doesn't like tomboy? wtf. slow motion is the shit and untying the knot gives me those same vibes which is probably why it's head and shoulders over everything on the ep for me. that beat should have been a 2 minute outro though. heh
