So correct me if I'm wrong, but the mr Noah ep is not being released separately, right? You can only get it (physically) packaged with the album, right?

So what makes it an ep, really? Seems like semantics to me.

Also not crazy about having the same song twice in one album/package/whatever. Is this the first AC related ep with an album track on it?

Sorry to complain, I am actually super psyched, and the ep is killer! Mad props to Pbear and Petek!!

What if the EP has a second EP pressed on the back? instead of 2 on side A 2 on side B: all 4 tracks of Mr Noah EP as side A and EP yet to be named on side B (containing the tracks we are concerned about) and they keep it a secret until closer to the release date and maybe make another announcement detailing it and providing a download through some sort of promotion.

Or is the EP truly just a 16 minute, 4 track, 180 gram..... as I type this, I'm leaning more towards some sort of record store day release containing the missing tracks...

edit: damn. I hate it when I next page :milhouse: lol

Wow, this EP release was really unexpected, but it makes me so happy, for some strange reason yesterday I was singing all day long Mr Noah and I was so tired that I didn't come to CA.org and this afternoon come here seeing lots of new pages, what a great surprise! and Mr Noah as the lead single, I was like, darn, I have a big sense of premonition!

I do love the video for Mr Noah, it's really awesome... tears of joy!
it's so eclectic, this year has been so eclectic for me, lots of things are changing around me, it's like I feel like I haven't changed that much, but all this changes are affecting me in some weird way, so this Grim Reaper vibe it's really appealing for me.

When I saw the interview were Panda says the artwork was inspired by Jodorowsky's Dune, I knew that it was going to be so colorful, it's a really, really cool artwork

What more can I say???

Panda Bear & Sonic Boom, Thanks! :applause:

I knew, you guys wouldn't let us down

I do not have words to express about how good the production on this EP is
I'll only say that is mind blowing, I can understand now why Sonic said Panda's vocals were going to be that good & we were going to be able to hear him even cry, just listen to "Faces in the Crowd" and you'll understand.

Now I feel even more anxious, excited, pumped up to listen to Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper :flail:

P.S.

"Come to Your Senses" is 7:23 mins long!

My wish is fulfilled :cawg:

I've been a bit out of the loop for the past couple months...what official track titles correspond to each track on the bootlegs? Like, I know "Mr Noah" is "Triple Eye", "Sequential Circuits" is "Make Believe", and a few others, but does someone have a list of the others? Thanks! super hyped for this album, SB has really outdone himself with the production on these songs.

Popadam ("Wazzup")
Sequential Circuits ("Make Believe")
Garage ("Do It"/"Day After Day")
old Faces in the Crowd (current title unknown) ("Tribe Vibes")
Jabberwocky ("Heart and Soul")
Boys Latin ("Dark Cloud")
Ms Pacman (now Faces in the Crowd) ("Til I Die")
Come to Your Senses ("Not Too Bad"/"Vacuum Song")
Tropic of Cancer ("Can't Come Back")
Mr Noah ("Triple Eye")
Untying the Knot (Robert Frost/"Down Below")
Butcher Baker Candlestick Maker ("Mention"/"Other Guy")
Principe Real
This Side of Paradise ("Shut Up")
Cosplay ("Make My Day")
Nadir ("Take Care"/"Fill Those Spaces")
Acid Wash (new song)
Lonely Wanderer (new song)

Boys Latin is in no way the best of these songs, but it won the "stuck in my head the most" award out of all of them because of that repeating chopped vocal section in the beginning

also i'm suprised that nobody has mentioned how much it sounds like panda is saying "Bu-rri-to" in the pbvsgr teaser. (i hope i'm not opening up a pandora's box of pitchfork 7.4 conspiracy theories by mentioning this.)

yeah i'm not a big fan of principe real either (atp version was def better imo) :/ and i saw both of those live twice. i think i liked the visuals for boys latin more than the song lol. i love almost all of the other tracks tho!

i agree principe real was better live, seemed very powerful live

I didn't like it at first, but after repeated listens it definitely has that "wow" factor for me. It's an amazing dance song and the teaser on pbvsgr.com makes me even more excited because it sounds like the vocals are going to be super clear and engaging

acidwash wrote:

^I'm convinced this guy is legit, here's why:
1. we now know davy jones' locker & shadow of colossus are transitions, but we didn't know that back when this person said that
2. crosswords is about the length of garage & selfish gene is about the length of nadir (when you take out the transitions for both)
3. come to your senses, tropic of cancer, and boys latin are all on the album (at least the titles are, along with track lengths that make sense, so it is safe to assume) and they have been played at every single show since the new material debuted (besides ctys not being at atp)
4. garage & nadir are the only other tracks that he's played live at every single show since he debuted the new material! so he obviously feels good about them
5. the only other tracks that crosswords and selfish gene could be (popadam, the track formerly known as faces in the crowd, jabbawocky, cosplay, and preakness) have only been played a small fraction of the time compared to garage and nadir
6. also his user name is acidwash, so maybe he's already heard the whole album?? lol

shadows is 17 seconds

and davy jones locker is 35 seconds

I think this backs up acidwash's claim of Crosswords being Garage and Selfish Gene being Nadir because why not tell us which are Shadows and Davy Jones as well?

And if that could somehow mean an EP of Popadam, Old Faces in the Crowd, Jabberwocky and Cosplay then Lamb so on board! :D

To me this seems like the most logical thing that could happen. I would actually be really happy with this, because I get that it might not fit the album, but Popadam is such a great opener with the screams and stuff, I think it fits an EP pretty well

Also remember what petek said: no cuts, only additions

Something like "The 3rd disc is msng" or something.

as someone postulated - its not 3 lp's - thats a mis-haprint .a mis-nomer.
it's 3 records on vinyl .
it's the lp split over two 12" for maximum quality . we even did special processing & mixes to make the vinyl sound as good as possible & as clear as the cd .
ditto the 3rd disc is a 12" too - the 4 track mtrnoah ep .

my understanding is you will be able to buy mr noah as vinyl seperately . it wass definately meant to have a stand alone release , but vinyl pressing time is looooong these days .....

Methinks,
mr. boom,
that if there is only the album and the ep comin out in January, then probably some of the songs will be released maybe as AAs or B-sides on a single or two
if you still maintain that every jam we've heard til now will makes its way onto an official release
hmm I really need an Hq version of jabberwocky in my life - I swear I teared up the first time I heard the atp boot of it.
it's a strange feeling that the album is coming out so soon, especially that you've already listened to it, a lot, you sneaky pete. You're totally gonna freebird it for us right? I mean you have to before the grimey slimey blimey critics do

oh my god this EP is killing me, I cant even..think...how... that lp... WITH nadir & garage...
but probably without Jabba... maybe... either way it will kill me completely. Just hope since le sneaky SB &PB are messing with the tracktitles, Mr.Noah will be jabbawocky!!!!!! I mean, I know they'll be all oficially released, but I'd rather have the bestestest on the album. dont need no principe or cosplay OR preakness, need jabba! <-- i but over exaggeratedthere, but this new material is making me crazy, sorry - I love them alll ;)

and SB, you( and ofcourse Mr Noah himself) did an amazing job on this EP. i'd give itta 9,5.
Robert frost could've been on Merriweather, perfect. Faces in the crowd = a million, no countless butterflies in my stomach, I'm in love. and also This Side. .......DON'T EAT THEM,. is so different again, and so so good. perfect closer, "oohohoooohoooo" kill me again

Thank you so much PK! So glad to know that Garage & Nadir are on the LP, although I never doubted it :)

Once again, the EP is fantastic! It's safe to say all 4 tracks are firmly within the Goldilox Zone. The studio version of Robert Frost/Untying the Knot surpassed all my expectations for that song.

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but have you heard my Jabberwocky cover? I tried to make it as true to the original as possible (using the Warsaw boot as my model). I'm sure it's nowhere near as good as the real studio version will be, but I hope it might help ease the wait.
