oh no.... so 3 tracks will die, not including preakness.....
EP2?
scared that my 3 fav songs are potentially on the chopping block via track title changes and other unknown factors.

I did my math wrong, it's 4 songs not including Preakness.
We saw they recorded 19 songs, they are releasing 14.

Yo guys I really don't know why you are afraid that these songs are getting cut based on a preliminary itunes tracklisting that only half of us can see! Have hope! Don't fear the reaper!

Guys guys guys.... maybe, just maybe, Faces in the Crowd and Jabberwocky were combined into one 5:05 song called Selfish Gene... a la ATP
check the timestamps

I find this very hard to believe. He doesn't seem like one to have songs that are just transitions... and he's never done it before. Also, those are really cool names and 17 seconds and 35 seconds aren't enough to fulfill their promise.
But I do think we will be getting some more songs next week or sometime soon.

i figure the ending was probably cut (maybe moved to acid wash?). the early live versions from when it was a middle-of-the-set song were ~5:20 long
Based on this, I definitely think Nadir is Selfish Gene (5:05 according to itunes).
That would leave Crosswords to be either Garage, the song formerly known as Faces In the Crowd / Jabberwocky, Popadam, or Cosplay.
if these running times are correct, the album will be 51:11. I think we can all agree that this is a lot of material to be happy about, however I would be very sad to see Garage or the old Faces / Jabberwocky go.

why would he put 17 secs of sound after tropic of cancer? and that is the second song on the 2nd part of the lp

Yeah you guys are really bummed out about this. I wouldn't be worried about this. Didn't somebody say that Panda Bear said that every song would get a release, even if it was (quote) "weird"?
Good things come to those who wait...and don't forget to expect the unexpected
If this is the real track lengths (and I'd say that's very possible), then the track length is about 51:11. Also look on the upside: Come to Your Senses is a sweet, sweet 7 minutes and 23 seconds

on one hand i reallllly want it to be an error
on the other hand im so fucking curious what panda bear would put in a 17 second track. is it a skit, p bear?
I think this backs up acidwash's claim of Crosswords being Garage and Selfish Gene being Nadir because why not tell us which are Shadows and Davy Jones as well?
And if that could somehow mean an EP of Popadam, Old Faces in the Crowd, Jabberwocky and Cosplay then I am so on board!

To the people wondering what a 17-second track could possibly be: it could definitely be a transition. That would be strange to make a track just for a transition, but logically, I would expect a 17 second song between 2 longer tracks on a PB album to be a transition.

crossword's length makes the garage argument less likely in my opinion...going with Jabberwocky on that one

I do hope that Cosplay gets another type of release (other than the demo esque thing we got). But I don't give a fuck, I'm just pumped about the album. No use spending energy worrying about what is to come in the next couple of months... especially since everyone here will like it... so why stress?

sb said no songs would be cut. what more do you need?
I'm really bummed and I feel really stupid, but honestly that artwork is preventing me from buying the vinyl. panda bear meets the grim reaper has such a strong sound. very vivid imagery. the art is so disconnected from the title. I'm really struggling with it.
the ep sounds soooo damn good. pretty dark in places too. love it

Dang 51 minutes. Not bad, even if those are real track times. I won't fret about it, but having a song called Shadow of the Colossus AND right after Tropic of Cancer got me real giddy. I was hoping for another song in that vein (Lonely Wanderer might fit though). Plus on that artwork it looks like he's playing Shadow of the Colossus There's someone riding a horse on the cover.
Yes I'm in denial but I'm happily in denial.

yeah i just realized how long live versions of garage are... never realized they were all 6-7 minutes long (except for the really early, underdeveloped versions from 2013)
that does seem to make it less likely that crosswords is garage, if the times on the tracklist are accurate

Guys, don't forget that in the live versions, a good portion of the song is devoted to transitions. On some of the boots, the song proper is over several minutes before the track runs out of time. I don't think we can directly compare live track lengths and studio track lengths. Plus he could have changed the song structures on the studio version....who knows. Expect the unexpected!
I'm still holding out for a second EP with a 27-minute version of Cosplay

yea guys i was the one who talked to panda about all of the songs being released in some form. he was very reassuring to me that we would get our hands on everything! my bet is shadow/davy are just extra little transitions. hell, maybe one of them is a new soft serve rip curl?
i wouldn't be worried. i think we are in in for at least one more surprise (boys latin ep after album release?). maybe another surprise if we get our hands on that original mix he did containing productions similar to desperconalizacao that domino didn't want him to release just yet.
