you know people release 12" singles, right? with a single song on a side?

it'll probably be a 45 rpm 12" with 2 songs on each side.

for reference, water curses is a 4 song 12" of roughly the same length.

Yeah, I figure 'versus' is used solely for cooler abbreviation. PBvsGR is cooler than PBMGR, and I also like the idea of PB opposing the Grim Reaper, as opposed to simply meeting him.

oh, that's right! i don't own water curses on vinyl and typically avoid singles, so oops. my bad

Ahhhh I got it now thanks. I'm really not into that foldout LP jacket design but that's not really a problem I guess. I love the colors they chose for the artwork so much.

I'm really glad the Panda Bear / Grim Reaper artwork was used as part of the packaging, I think I prefer that to the outer sleeve with the official front cover.

so between the video rumors and the trailer on the website is it reasonable to assume Boys Latin could be a pre-release single? I don't really see any other songs coming out before release, but maybe another EP of non-album tracks could come out like mid-2015?

Whoa ATP Faces in the Crowd (Til I Die) is so good! I am in love with that clacky percussion sound in all versions.

I'm betting we're getting something next week, just from hints by Pk... maybe the Mohawk recording or one or more of the songs that's missing. but I am happy with what we have right now and don't need any more!

Someone said there was a Boys Latin teaser? I don't see it.

The sounds in the trailer on http://pbvsgr.com sound an awful lot like Boys Latin

edit: Plus the line "But we don't appreciate our things" is almost definitely what he's saying the first half of in the vid

You may need safari to see it, it didn't show up when I used chrome last night.

Sonic, did you contribute those keyboard lines during the "so much 4 the safest vibe/tossed aside" section of Mr. Noah? Cause that is a brilliant addition to the song, really takes it to another level.

oh ok. I'll just wait for it to be fixed. I don't really want to download Safari. On Chrome I can see the video but there is no sound. On Firefox I don't even see the video, it's just the old teaser+mixtape from before

that video is so cheesy, it cracks me up. It was the first thing I saw last night before I knew the EP was out. I was wondering why there was no sound :)

^Hehe, must have seemed pretty silly with no sound

PK, I just want to say thank u and great job with the EP!! Excellent job with the production, you can tell that no detail was overlooked during these recording sessions. I'm even more excited for the album and I didn't know that was possible.

Pretty amazing.

Also. I'm pretty pleased that the Young Prayer bit found its way onto Faces in the Crowd. Also I just now noticed that right after he sings that part he sings 'still looking back' (as in he sang that way back in 2004)... Really nice.

That is sick!

Which Young Prayer song does it sound like? I haven't heard it in a long time even though it's my favorite PB album. I'm guessing 2?

The whole thrice thing... 3xlp or. 3 different editions of the same album... All with different art and/or bonus tracks... 1st being Mr Noah 3x edition... collect them all? Only 100 copies of the Jabberwocky Ultimate Edition released- what will you pay, what will you do for all three, increasingly more rare and valuable as the minutes tick by?

to ppl having a trouble ordering.. i don't know if this is the case, but nearly every time i order from domino, my bank flags it because domino is based in the uk. maybe this is the issue, but i don't know.. just offering a guess from personal experience. usually if i use paypal eft it goes through. though, my order did go through, got the ep, and my bank still flagged it today..

victor.. i def feel like the vocals are mixed a little lower than i was expecting after the live stuff. but i love it so much.

hey guys, this was the case!! I just called wells fargo and all the guy had to do was remove the flag, and I was able to cop the lp and shirt! just call ya bank and you'll be fine

I still can't believe I'm actually listening to these EP tracks. I never thought the day would come :negative:

I like how the beat in Untying the Knot starts on beat 3, rather than beat 1, when it comes in

I personally have full confidence that one of the tracks towards the ends of the album will be Nadir with a new title. What kind of person would PB be if he left that of the album??

It would also make the snippet of Nadir that appeared in the mixtape especially cruel. PB's all like, oh, this is all you will ever hear of the studio version of Nadir, just this tiny clip. The rest will remain unheard forever...muahahaha!!
