I really think this is going to be the most accessible album by Panda Bear, you know? for people that is not really into him.

maaaaaybe? i mean the album could very well start with samples of jgl screaming and a revival of one of the 90s most obnoxious cultural fads, but maaaaaybe?

I caved in and listened to one song on Youtube. I think that was the one you guys are calling "Triple Eye/Track 5".

Please tell me that the rest of the material is at least as catchy and wonderful as that. This is exactly how I wanted the latest Panda Bear music to sound.

I believe he mixed the Prospect park DVD did he not? But ya agreed.

I think that was Nick Vernhes

Just checked, Rusty is listed as doing the audio mix. Nicholas wasn't involved.

My bad. I was confusing myself with the Terminal 5 videos Nick did. Regardless, stellar mixing by both!

Track 10 on the Barcelona recording (and 4 on the half Pitchfork boot as "One of Them"). Not Too Bad/One of Them and Mention are the newest of the new songs that he has played since the fall.

i can't wait for this album to drop.

its like when theres something you're super excited for the next day. All day, you cant focus at work, or in class, or during conversation cause its all you can think about. except its not for one day its like days and months.

i didnt really want any singles at first, but if it means something to listen to til the actual album drops then please i need it.

i usually come up with my own names for most of the tracks, so it's always fairly confusing to come in this thread

i bring it on myself though

I get that though. I never embrace the tentative names because I am always confused why they are called what they are called.

Listening to PB bootlegs before a record release isn't really a good indicator of how the record will sound. There's so much that Noah does in the mix and with overlaying millions of vocal takes that he doesn't do live. However, these are probably my favorite bootlegs sonically out of any of his.

I was there for the Pre-person pitch bootlegs and tomboy, and I'm most excited about these than i was for those.

Exactly.

I want the record to feel as new to me as possible. I felt with CHZ I got too attach to the boots and became let down with how they changed things (mostly monkey riches).

"Knock You Down" was the only CHz boot I listened to extensively, and I honestly didn't feel disappointed with the studio version at all.
Really though, I've hardly listened to the Panda boots at all.
I've heard enough to be incredibly stoked for a record though!

Yeah I would never listen everyday. I've listened through it about 3 times. It's also just a really good show, transitions and all

i mean at least they are pretty low quality versions, so the production is going to be mind-blowing when we have real studio versions.

What I didn't like about the Tomboy campaign is that, even though they weren't the album versions, the singles they released prior to the album dropping were still pretty well produced, so those songs on the album itself were not as exciting as they could have been

i listened to the boots everyday for a few weeks. i was thinking I was gonna be burnt out on the album before it ever came out, but honestly I don't think I'll get sick of these songs and I still can't even comprehend the thought of studio versions of these songs. Shit will be on repeat

it's not so much youll get sick of the songs.. it's that you'll get overly attached to the track list in the order it is and then create your ideal studio version in your head and then whatever is released will be completely different and you'll be bitter and think to yourself "what the fuck he ruined everything about this, it could have been amazing. ugh gr8 thx for nothing noah"

Spoiler: show
. :negative: :negative: :negative: :negative:

the thing is that I know that Noah knows best, so whatever he chooses to do with the order is probably going to be incredible

yah I have faith in noah to make a great record, even if I thought he might do something different.
plus that man is pro at song sequencing!

haha doesn't he not care about song sequencing? i thought he always put the least input into AC album sequences; the order changes on Person Pitch from CD to LP; he allowed PK to resequence tomboy from the solid lineup he had been playing for over a year. i think "flexible" is a better word than "pro"

Really? I didn't know all that lol.
Haha makes me sound a bit silly.
I was just thinking about how well Person Pitch flows.

interesting about the CD / LP difference. never noticed that before. That said I have the CD not the vinyl and my MP3 is the CD version so I don't think I've ever listened to the vinyl come to think of it. want to now

The vinyl just makes sense from a practical aspect, I don't really think it was much of a creative choice

oh for sure. but i guarantee there are artists who would release it on an extra LP just to keep the sequencing the same. like i said, "flexible"
