I like that one, actually. I thought the ambiguity was intentional at first. Either way, I like it.

I remember seeing an interview with Mr. Panda around the launch of tomboy where he said he enjoyed when people interpreted lyrics differently, "no you can't count on me" being the one he cited as particularly interesting what with the duality and the invertedness etc.

Oh, very interesting.
This band totally changed my view on lyrics. I used to be a stickler about lyrics. But when they say things like that, completely change lyrics in live shows, or have no idea what the right lyrics are themselves--it made me realize that EVERYTHING, even something so seemingly objective as lyrics, is up to our own interpretation.

I played Brother Sport at a Desert Island Discs dinner party and someone said "it sounds like he's saying 'open up your throat!'" and they all laughed like simpletons. When I revealed the truth, it changed everything for them all forever.

we're so close to halloween now that it seems like that is a more likely date for something to happen.
it also would be unwise to announce news on the day sleater-kinney reunites lol

I have terrible luck. I also have a film festival to work this entire weekend including Friday.
Expect a single to drop Friday so that I am unable to hear it for three days.

So this is a cassette release? The dimensions aren't square
It looks to me like the image is higher resolution than the version that CA previously found on the artist's website (not certain though).

This is an awesome illustration, but I don't think it's the cover. Both because it's not square and also in the Seventh Hex Interview PB said "we're still kinda putting that all together" (referring to the album artwork). That was at the end of September, and I think CA found this illustration well before that. My memory's a little fuzzy though and I don't have time to dig for it right now
edit: although I guess "we're still kinda putting that all together" is pretty vague, so maybe we can't quite rule this out as the album cover. Or maybe at least art in the booklet or something

Maybe the art work stretches around to the back of the CD/vinyl's packaging, while leaving enough room for a tracklist?

Well, I guess I'm happy for everyone who hadn't seen this illustration before. But now that we got something, we probably won't see anything for a few weeks again

Yeah, both Domino and PB's twitter accounts tweeted a link to the Tumblr, where the photo was posted today. Thus, by the transitive property, it's offish.
e: and PB's tweet even included the pic in the tweet itself:

god damn i am excited for whatever he decides to release.
jabbawaqy is such a banger but i have no idea how i am supposed to spell it (one b or two??, sonic has used both), I can't wait to hear that given the studio treatment.
i hope noah figures out what he's going to do with principe real, it's an excellent song. I wasn't a big fan of the effects he added to it before he stopped playing it (doo-doo), but the minimal version from ATP is one of my favorites.
