So what's the deal? Is this a joke or not? I'm gonna try to email the Domino address right now to see if it's legit.
EDIT: That email address (
[email protected]) spit back a "Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently," so it doesn't seem to work. I went to Domino's website and sent them an email via their official email contact form asking when we would get a release date.
Also, very funny, whichever one of you typed this in at the top of their homepage:

I already did it, asking for an anouncement or a release date or anything related to Panda Bear, they answered "All in good time I'm afraid"

I mentioned this over in the lyrics forum, but I see some parallels between these lyrics in Garage and Bros:
Garage
Stay there
While i move
Stay scared
While i improve
But it dont mean i'll do it like you want me to
But it dont mean i'll do it like u need me to
But it dont mean ill do it like you want me to
Bros
I know myself
and I know what I want to do
I'm doing my best
and I want to know
is it good for you?
you give me trouble
you give me everything that you've got
I'll show you that
whats right for you me
isn't for you
...
who are you to tell me how
when you've problems of your own

I don't get why everyone is afraid of listening to the boots because they'll get tired of the album as soon as it's out. I'm not afraid of that. I'm definitely enjoying the boots and I'm sure the album will have plenty of fresh new things we haven't heard, even in songs we feel like we know so well.
After all, expect the unexpected...

i'd say i agree for the most part. i can understand that people make a personal decision to abstain, but for me, personally, it makes no sense at all. i love being along for this entire ride. i love seeing the progression, and i love that i will be familiar with the material when it is finally released.

I'm dying of anxiety. I'm still at work and I haven't been able to hear the boots.
What do you guys think is the best boot in terms of audio quality/execution? e.g. Live in Amsterdam 2007 is my favorite MPP boot.
Regarding boot abstinence, would you keep yourself from going to a pandy show because he'll play his unreleased material? eeeehh?

Exactly, it's really cool to be able to notice the little changes that get made in the songs as he plays them over time. Fascinating to me... I certainly won't get tired of it

I think it's important to listen to the ATP 2013 boot because those are the beginnings of these songs. They've evolved quite a bit since then. I like the
9/22 Brooklyn show and the
5/18 Warsaw show.
And no, I wouldn't skip this, because he's officially sharing these songs in a concert setting with

visuals and there's no telling how he'll tour them in the future. You shouldn't miss it

Ditto to all the above. Some other good boots:
5/18 Warsaw,
9/23 Irving Plaza and
9/14 The Mohawk
He's changed up the setlist a number of times, so you'll need to listen to a few boots to hear all the new songs.

The Irving one sounds particularly good.
If you get ~3 boots you'll most likely have all the songs he's been playing. The more elusive ones he's still playing are Jabberwocky and This Side of Paradise

some of u guys seems like yr kinda losin it.... i wouldnt spend a second worrying abt "abstaining" or "overlistening". I get that on some level, but you might benefit from tweaking yr outlook.... things like that might affect yr first listen to the lp but in the long run, years down the road, this wont matter at all... albums grow with u over time and theres nothing u can do to like fuk up the way yr gonna hear it in the long run. these are beautiful songs and i think its a bit of a shame to hear ppl stressin abt it, even if it is partially in jest or just kind of shootin the breeze, and i guess it is only cuz yal are such big fans. but ya, maybe some of yal could take it easy... if u find yrself overthinking this album just go read a book lol

Preach Diomedes. We'll be listening to these songs for years to come...wouldn't worry about overlistening too early.

I feel like I have a greater appreciation for an album when I've listened to the boots over and over again. I mean Panda isn't the kinda dude to do a song live EXACTLY like it is on the album. I think it's fascinating witnessing the evolution of a song pre-studio, and then hearing the studio version be influenced by the evolution of the live versions, and then the post-studio live version that is influenced by the studio version.
The only time I will abstain from a boot is when I am about to see a show from the tour the boot was recorded on.
Like, I'm not going to listen to any FlyLo boots because I'm about to see him on the 23rd.
Or I didn't listen to the Austin Mohawk boot because I was going to see Panda later that month.
Honestly I thought I was experiencing the Panda show at a different level than other attendees since I had heard the boots from his last tour and had already familiarized myself with most of the GR songs.

I think what's important is that when the album comes out it's the (symbolic) death of the progression of the songs and since the end result is what we are all waiting for ( if not, boots are great ) the expectation and the hype will grow, like it did (epecially) with Tomboy for me, I know that expectations are rarely good, but it almost comes naturally after such a build-up of vague live recordings, wich already sound great, in Tomboy's case with some songs even better than when they came out, because of the potential you feel they have in them while listening to them.

I just listened to the Warsaw boot. I am BERRY satisfied.
Anyone here noticed in Fill Those Spaces how the ending resembles Funeral of Queen Mary (A clockwork orange)?

it is becoming clearer now
there could be something new this friday/saturday...
sometime next week,
then it is hallowe'en week ,
these are all wonderful and unique times for something of some sort being released, and better yet that there is still complete uncertainty of what it might be !!
