That song will be utterly unrecognisable by the time we hear it
big "if" on if we even hear it

Perhaps this deserves its own thread/perhaps there already is one, but I just saw Other Music announced on their facebook page:
We're so proud to announce that Other Music will have its world premiere at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival! Today we're embarking on a second Kickstarter campaign to help launch the film at Tribeca and beyond. You can watch a brand new teaser trailer for the film on the Kickstarter page https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pr ... GRnoP3HjP0

Dave is at least, and I think it's come up that their first Other Music performance was filmed in full? MIght be a leap but was there talk it could be a bonus feature?
"Access to exclusive music playlists curated by former Other Music staff members." Not impossible Ave or PB will be a part of this?

According to the info within the kickstarter link, Dave, Noah, and Brian were interviewed as a part of this doc. Here is the link for the first trailer promoting this: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/pr ... ?ref=video
Soft Serve Rip Curl is still one of the best things Noah has done

surprised no one mentioned this at the time: in an instagram post from octobor deakin said he is "getting ready for some recording this winter" https://www.instagram.com/p/BojwKKPl8Hi/ if we get three solo album in 2019 that'd be nuts

just wanna say the art direction for all these new releases (well like, buoys/cows) has been stellar!
love the weird drippy text and colors on buoys/the posters, and the nice "gold foil" and the color scheme of cows!

The only bad animal collective cover is the Avey variant of PW. Every single other one is good except for the one I am probably forgetting. If you think Danse or Centi have bad covers you need jesus. Would also potentially pitch the notion that Cows is in the top 3 greatest covers they've ever had.

I really like the Cows cover image but am sort of bothered by the black strips on the left and right and the triangles. wish it was just the full image in a square
agree with partner, though I think PBvsGR and its EPs had pretty bland covers compared to the rest

eh, the avey pw isn't too bad. the only AC cover that i don't really like is the Meeting Of The Waters, it's not awful but it just seems out of place compared to most other releases, i guess.
though i think my all time favorite AC-adjacent art is the single art for Take Pills. Agnes Montgomery is next level great.

I dislike the Buoys artwork. a shame, cause all the visuals for the promos and everything looked sick! Particularly the pic of him fern did with his dog and the wobbly edges. just think the actual cover missed the mark. strange gritty mid-00s tony hawk pseudo banksy shit doesn't fit the music at alllllllllllll. at least the colours are nice
Agree with LeadHat MotW cover is bad

Deakin is playing (headlining?) a festival in Lexington, KY in mid september.
"I have no concrete info on any of that unreleased stuff. I'm happy people seem to be excited about some of those songs. I can tell you i wrote our little chapter while i was also writing Defeat and the other songs we played at the music box which i play juno on. We will be working on some of that stuff with noah now but i have no info beyond that." - avey on reddit
