THIS FOOL A DEAK FREEBIRDER? at centipede hz 2011 at terminal 5, during encore, a man yelled "i wanna win a rabbit". during the first sung tongs show, the boys played prospect hummer, and a guy was yelling out shit after every break, which was initially funny, but got grating very quickly because he was yelling over the music. at the 2018 sung tongs show, the crowd did not know when prospect hummer ended, and would repeatedly try to clap during each individual break at the ending.

Calling out songs at a concert is so obnoxious. Their set lists are always varied between new songs and old ones with possible reworks, what more could you want?

Oh god at the DC Sung Tongs show there was a group of soccer moms who kept yelling out “Summertime Clothes” and “Fireworks” throughout the whole thing. Some dude asked them to be quiet and their ringleader was trying to square up, security had to ask them to move. So shitty

Also if yr a true fan, it'd only make sense to call out songs on the first 2-3 shows of a new tour because once those have happened we know what tracks are possible and like of course they're not gonna be able to fulfill a request on the spot so maybe the idea is you'll call a song they will end up playing and that way u r validated..?

I think it's a feedback loop cuz when I first got into them/the boots I heard that shit so much that by the time I saw them live I almost felt like I was supposed to do that or something.

I saw them on that post-CHz tour and some chodes kept yelling 'play My Girls' and I was going tsk tsk and looking down my nose giving them the side eye to my mate eyebrows arched and then they played My Girls.

I am very curious at what their March set lists will look like. Is it gonna be a new album tour with oldies sprinkled in or will we get TS2 stuff as well. God I just want to hear Gem and I live.

Honestly? I think it's gonna be October.

TS1 getting great reviews makes me think Domino might not want to cannibalize discussion between two albums. I think we’ll get it January 23.

The setlists probably won't be much different from 2021, except maybe with some more old stuff that they didn't do last tour. Really hoping for a Strung live debut.

With two tours inbetween that which will focus on the TS2 material, Id say the discussion will have already shifted.

the worst concert experience of my life happened at a panda bear show. it was at union transfer in philly on the buoys tour, some guy kept shouting about noah’s dad. really insulting and bizarre stuff. at the end of the show he got in a fist fight with someone. he was standing right next to me, it made the night really weird

That guy was for sure the worst concert-goer I've experienced, he did a lot more than shout some weird stuff a couple times, he was shouting "YEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH" at the top of his lungs every few seconds, made the opening act impossible to hear and was going to do it the whole time Panda was on stage. I'm the one who yelled at him to shut the fuck up when Panda started playing Buoys, I will never understand how I was the only one who said anything to him as he was on track to ruin the entire show. If you were right next to him of course you don't want to engage with him but there was a huge crowd anyone else could have told him off, I'm surprised the crowd didn't just band together and crowd surf his ass out of the venue

Domino shipped my LP one day ago. what are the chances it gets around the globe within a week?

damn. i was annoyed yesterday that domino hadn't shipped my record yet (or "created a label"). i'm in the midwest but kind of doubt it will get here by friday. maybe if it's shipped and actually picked up by monday.

I’ve never gotten a preorder on release date from Domino. I’d love for my first listen to be on the record when I get home from work on Friday but I know it won’t be.

I ordered mine from a record store not to far from me in Baltimore so I’m Hoping it makes it by Thursday or Friday. I just got a new turn table and I’m ready to experience this thing in full glory over my stereo. If it does freebird though I don’t know if I can resist. The wait is brutal

YouTube is such an incredibly unceremonious place to listen to especially new music but what would it change if they did the obligatory YouTube upload a week early? Seems like it would only boost sales. Maybe.

And like Spotify is esp trash right now but idk when the digital purchase goes live you know. Like am I gonna stay up late Thursday waiting or spend Friday at work resisting. How sloppy am I gonna be about first listen??

I will say I ordered CD from Amazon after preordering vinyl from their site years ago prior so that has the highest chance of getting to me first. Car listen as first listen might be a little better than like headphones at a desk...

I didn't see the Discord post myself. Let's just say I'm going to all the dark corners of the internet to search so you guys don't have to. It seems that this DemonFlesh character is known for this type of thing and hype ensued when it was mentioned. I'll see if I can find out more.

Yeah avey loves that music. Someone on here put me onto Arthur Lyman way back when those pictures of them rehearsing in the drop of sun dome came out. Great stuff.
